For a second there I thought I failed at searching lol.

I still don't know how they can call that second page instructions lol.

OH WELL! I knew I'd have to mess SOMETHING up.

It is ok - I read it the same way you did both times, as in if there was none at all then indicate that.

I think they could have just written "Also include periods of unemployment by writing unemployed and the dates."

The instructions on all the forms are just terrible.

Yes, you have to write unemployed and the dates also. Don't leave any gaps in time.
