My filipino husband got his visa interview last Nov. 14, 2012. He thought everything went well. They told my husband to wait until he get called and they gave him 221G form saying Current letter of employer from the petitioner. I had my dad a co sponsor. My dad makes $25,700 in 2011 and just him and my mom. I just currently got a job end of sept. 2012 up to present. There's a part for 221G saying Joint sponsor on the right side everything is checked (Signed I-864, Income tax return 2011, W2 2011 and current sustained income and there is a big mark saying OK. All of the box is checked except in the other side on the petitioner column, there is x inside the box then current sustained income, letter from current employer. We submitted the letter from my employer Nov. 14 that afternoon and US embassy got it on hand Nov. 15 but the lady over the phone said they didnt get it yet it will go through there security before my package can go inside the US embassy. To make long story short is there a better chance that we will get approved. I and my husband have 3 childrens and I'm dying to have my family to get together its been hard four years being apart from each other. Any advice or comment will be greatly appreciated. BTW my husband have my letter of employment the whole time he is in his interview. I guess he just spaced out that day, I'm so upset with him, I feel so bad that I got mad that day. Well good day everyone.

I am sorry you're going through this. I know how it feels because my husband & I are going through a similar situation. Waiting is hard but there really isn't a whole lot we can do about it.

The Embassy had received the required documents from my husband 5 days after my interview but when I emailed them a week later to ask about my case they basically didn't say anything about receiving the paperwork. One of the members I had asked here suggested I call the Department of State or DOS for short. After asking for my case number, name & date of birth the visa specialist told me that, "Yes ma'am the documents you sent in have been received and are being reviewed". So calling DOS is your best chance to know what's really going on.

The number is 202-663-1225 (press 1 then 0 to speak with a visa specialist).

Good luck to you :)
