What exactly do you mean by absent divorce? Who is divorced, the petitioner or the beneficiary, and in which country? For example in the USA, it takes some time but after notifications in the newspaper etc, you can get divorced without the other party present, and it is legal and acceptable.

So you are divorced. What is absent divorce? What is your question? Do you plan about doing a K1 for somebody else?

Did you divorce before your AOS? sorry but I didn't understand the question.

yes i divorce before to start process

the absent divorce mean my exe wife did not appear in the court

I don't see why it would be a problem. Such divorces do happen in America, but they are rare. For me and my ex-husband we both filed motions of non-appearance and neither of us went to court and we were granted a divorce.

They might ask what happened to your former wife, though.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

when my mother filed for N-400, U.S. citizenship, she was with someone else, but had still been technically married to my father who lived in afghanistan at the time for work. she was able to get an official "divorce" without my father ever returning to the U.S.

Several years later my mother receiving U.S. citizenship.

i should note, that i filed N-400 myself many many many months after my mother did. i received my U.S. cit many many months before her.

i had to inquire several times to the US about it, and they made her get fingerprinted 3 times in a year because...i don't know.
