hI,

Can someone let me know dont all States Stamp The Approval Stamp 1 - 551 in the passport when you have been to the AOS Interview and your case has has been Approved. As i read that everyone has there passport stamped. Except a few from Texas. Or does it differ from State to State.

Kezzie is right, it varies from place to place. Last week somebody got stamped, but I can't remember where they had their interview. I had my AOS interview last Friday and did not get stamped, but have received the email saying that the GC is on its way =)

My story:

09/23/2002 - Met Chris online, there was something very special about this guy =0)

07/16/2006 - We got married in Reno, Nevada.

USCIS:

08/13/2006 - Filed for AOS, AP, EAD - they were VERY carefully packaged with a detailed cover sheet on top of each of the forms, just as VJ's instructions recommend. It was A LOT of work, but it did pay off! (we firmly believe this is what sped up our process big time)

08/31/2006 - Biometrics appointment

09/09/2006 - Received my AOS appointment date!

10/26/2006 - EAD touched and AP APPROVED!

10/27/2006 - AOS appointment at 7:30 AM! APPROVED IN EXACTLY 70 DAYS!!!

11/01/2006 - EAD approved

11/02/2006 - Email notification - greencard will be mailed as soon as it is ready! YAY again!

11/02/2006 - Welcome to the United States of America letter in the mail! Almost there! =)

11/06/2006 - EAD card and White card (a.k.a. greencard) arrive in the mail!

Journey Total Duration: 80 days

Filed for removal of conditions on 07-28-2008 and had them removed on 09-10-2008

Baltimore, MD doesnt stamp passports or let me say they didnt stamp my husband's.

Traveled to Morocco on Aug 3rd, 2005

Got Engaged on Aug 16th, 2005

Left Morocco on Aug 19th, 2005

08-29-05 Filed I129F

01-09-06 Interview Date (9am) We were not approved today, I guess we got a 221g of the damn S. Korea Police Certificate that Casablanca said we didn't need.

03/03/06 Turn in Passport at 9am

03/15/06 Visa Issued

03/31/06 Enter USA via JFK

05/15/06 Wedding for Visa

06/10/06 Mailed AOS papers

07/06/06 Biometerics Apt

07/15/06 My offical wedding day....I know .....:-)

07/10/06 Touched

08/25/06 EAD Approvel

09/01/06 EAD in Hand

09/26/06 AOS Interview (Recommend for Approval)

10-05-06 Received Welcome Letter

10-10-06 Green Card Arrived.

Mine was not stamped at the interview because we were namecheck pending, but once we were approved the AO called me and asked if I wanted to come in for the stamp so that I could travel before the green card arrived (we had mentioned it at our interview).

I got a stamp in my passport at the interview, Chula Vista, but one of my friends had an interview somewhere in LA and she didn't get her stamp in hers. Hope this helps a little.

Sent to Chicago : 07/10/06

NOA arrived : 07/14/06

Biometrics : 08/04/06

Interview : 10/19/06 - Approved, name check has been cleared

Another Biometrics Notice Arrived (what is this?!) : 10/23/06

Fingerprint appointment : 10/31/06 - I went there anyway and they told me it was simply their mistake to send me another one

Infopass : 11/20/06 - They couldn't find my biometric record in their system

Biometrics Appointment : 12/08/06 - Hopefully they will start my green card production!

Recived an email update - Card ordered : 12/13/06

Card received : 12/21/06 YEAY!!!

It differs from office to office....

They are stamping les and less they say because the Greencards are now issued so fast there is no need for the stamp.....

ya right :angry: sure glad they stamped mine..because no greencard is coming my way yet waiting since July :angry:

NOA received Feb 18, 2006

Biometrics done on Apr 21, at St. Paul office..wait some more......

Touched on April 24 and 28

email aproval for AP on May 1

email approval for EAD on May 3

received AP on May 3

received EAD in mail on May 8

start work of June 1

AOS interview in Bloomington on July 19 8am

AOS approved,passport stamped on July 19

as of Dec 10, 2006 still no greencard....waiting and waiting....USCIS says we are approved, and check back in 60 days...no idea what is happening

Dec 18, email stating welcome letter is in the mail

Dec 20, 5 emails saying they ordered production of my new card......

Dec 24...welcome to America letter in the snail mail

Dec 26...GC in hand and all is correct...

NOTE TO SELF..file to lift conditions 04/19/08

04/22/08 filed to lift conditions

05/01/08 package returned wrong form

05/05/08 re-submitted right form to california

05/09/08 cheque cashed

05/13/08 NOA

05/19/08 appointment letter for biometrics received..appointment on 05/28/08 at 11 am at USCIS St. Paul

05/28/08 took my two appointment letters and had my fingerprints done

11/13/08 touched and email stating card production ordered and will be sent to me in 30 days

11/21/08 GC in hand no mistakes expires 11/13/18

I got approved in Orlando about 2 weeks ago and got the I-551 Stamp in my passport. I’ve also received the Welcome Notice in the post this past Monday. My case status was updated online today reflecting that my Green Card should be in the post soon.
