I read a thread about the eye test that one could fail it, has anyone ever heard this for a fact here?, I was of the belief that the eye test was routine

and cannot really fail you medically, after all reading a chart wont even reveal if one has conjunvitis, but what really is the reason behind this chart reading

is it to factor into failing a person... I know a totally blind lady who migrated to her siblings last yr.

Well, you can fail an eye test (such as being partially blind or whatever), but that doesn't mean you will fail the medical.

I have really bad eye sight, and the doctor did not that, but nothing was mentioned at my visa interview. It's not relevant as it isn't a huge health care cost that could make you a public charge, not a communicable disease.

If the person is visually impaired to the extent that they may have difficulty finding work, then the CO may look closer at the public charge issue- ie want to make sure the petitioner is very comfortably over the poverty line and can support the beneficiary for potentially the rest of their lives. Other than that, no issue.
