Ok did all the AOS forms for my wife but what forms do i need to fill out seperatly for her son. he is 8 so doesnt need work permit. i added him to I-485 part 3 b.and i-864 application for support. if i do need to fill in other forms does anyone have examples so i won't mess up. also is there another fee for him?

05/17/2013.....I-465 & I-765 sent USPS priority mail + K2 package

05/24/2013......Email, Text of Receiving package on 5/20

05/28/2013.......Check cashed for K1 nothing for K2 yet

06/01/2013......Hard Copy of NOA1 received: I-465 and _I-765 Application for employment

06/02/2013.......rfe on K2 Missed a signiture

06/13/2013.......Email, Text of Receiving package after K2 rfe

06/??/2013...... Bio-metric hard-copy.

06/24/2013...... Bio-metric hard-copy.for k2

06/25/2013........Biometrics complete for k-1 and k-2 12:00 appiontment took longer getting through security.

07/09/2013.........Interview & Scheduling (Status Changed)

07/15/2013.........Interview aug 14 no cards yet.

07/19/2013......On July 19, 2013 we ordered production of your new card.i765 \ July 19, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131

07/30/2013 ......Recieved EAD in mail. nothing else.

08/08/2013 ......Recieved k2 interview for sept 6........what? he is 8.

09/10/2013 ......On September 10, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Wife's journey.
Day 01 - 07/25/2012 - Mailed AOS package (I-130,I-131, I-485,I-765) via UPS Next Day Air.
Day 02 - 07/26/2012 - Package delivered by UPS.
Day 10 - 08/03/2012 - Got 4 emails confirm AOS package had been received. Checks cashed.
Day 13 - 08/06/2012 - Receipt Numbers are track-able on USCIS website.
Day 18 - 08/11/2012 - Biometrics Notice received (Dated: 8/8, Appointment: 8/29)
Day 20 - 08/13/2012 - Walk-in biometrics done.
Day 24 - 08/17/2012 - Received 4 NOA letters.
Day 27 - 08/20/2012 - 2nd Biometrics Notice received. Same day walk-in biometrics done.
Day 41 - 09/03/2012 - Email and txt notification of interview.
Day 43 - 09/05/2012 - Interview Notice in the mail. This is GREAT!
Day 63 - 09/25/2012 - EAD txt notification. I-765 online status updated.
Day 69 - 10/01/2012 - EAD Mailed.
Day 71 - 10/03/2012 - Interview. I-130 approved. I-485 will be approved after police clearance received. / EAD received. Wrong name. Wrong country of birth.
... waiting for Police Reports from Vietnam and current city's police dept.
11/01/2012 - RFE Police reports sent.
11/06/2012 - I-485 Approved. Card production email received.
11/09/2012 - Email notification. Card picked up by USPS.
11/15/2012 - GC received. Correct name. Still wrong country of birth.

Remove condition:

10/22/2014 - I-751 notice receipt received.

He is here in US and he just turned 9 in the US. he is already enrolled in school the week after he got here. actually wee have a parent teacher confernce next week

What a pain inthe butt getting mine enrolled... they want a physical and I wish I had a copy of the one from Cho Ray.

What a pain inthe butt getting mine enrolled... they want a physical and I wish I had a copy of the one from Cho Ray.

thats why it took me a week, I had papers filled out toenroll a week ahead of time before they got here.

You need to files separate forms for him but send them in together with her package. Listing him on her I-485 won't do anything. You need to file 2 petitions: one for your wife, one for your step son and pay separate fees for both petitions.

Day 01 - 07/25/2012 - Mailed AOS package (I-130,I-131, I-485,I-765) via UPS Next Day Air.
Day 02 - 07/26/2012 - Package delivered by UPS.
Day 10 - 08/03/2012 - Got 4 emails confirm AOS package had been received. Checks cashed.

there doing good with english, catching on fast. there is one other vietnese kid in his class that speaks english

There is one in my sons class at least his second period class, but his VN'ese is horrible... The teachers actually though Google translates is a reliable translation tool for VN :rofl:

My kids caught on pretty fast. It helped that they played sports in high school. They also joined about every school club they could. My wifes English diff story works 7days a Weeks no time to study. Kids Learn a bit by watching t.v with c.c. On.

Everytime I use google to translate an English word to Vietnamese, my fiance Nhung always says Google translates Hanoi not Ho Chi Minh :lol:
