I literally got into an argument with my husband because all of this is making me sick,im getting depressed all over again. Last Friday we were so happy and even went out to dinner because we fullfiled the IO's request, after so much running around, calling people, even getting into arguments to give her what she wanted,we breathed a sigh of relief thinking it was all over with. That wed just wait for our approval, and then this. My husbnd caught me crying, he said hes tired of this, that this country is treating us like criminals, i know hes just hurt to see me hurting. But good things come to those who wait, but its getting so hard, ive been running around non stop trying to do everything i can. I dont understand why this is happening to me, its like this lady is trying so hard to find anything possible to make my life miserable, i cant stop crying because it seems like its not going to end. What more can she possibly want ? This is starting to interfere in my marriage and my health.

you have issues if you can;t function because of a missed phone call. Make an infopass appt and get it taken care of, it isn;t the end of the world...seriously you are making too much drama over nothing. My husband had to go back twice for biometrics because they couldnt read the first set of fingerprints.

You don't have caller ID on your cell phone???????????

A lot of government numbers come up private, or some offices with multiple lines will only show as the "main" number (happens at my office). So having caller ID won't always help...

Have you read their first story? This isn't "just" about biometrics.

Im sorry but some people arent as strong as others, you dont understand how difficult this has been for the beginnig, it certainly hasnt been a walk in the park. This isnt "just a phone call" anymore. Its gone above and beyond that. Your husband getting a second set of fingerprints done seems "normal" its nothing compared to what weve gone through. Not only is my life in this country hanging on this, but my husbands also, he cant adjust his status until/if i do. A lot is hanging on this.

biometrics for ead is not the same as biometrics for the green card.

lets just assume that somewhere the appointment letter for the asc office for the biometrics intake for the green card is lost, aye?

go to the office on Monday, speak with the security guard, mention the officers name (Smith) and ask that the security guard contact Officer Smith to let you inside the building..

or - IMO - Ms Smith noticed that you don't have biometrics on the green card done yet, and wants you to come in immediately to get it done - and she called you about it. So, go on Monday, tell the security guard that Ms Smith called you and you are coming in for biometrics per her verbal instructions and there isn't any appointment letter at all.

note there are 2 biometric appointments - used to be 3...

one for ead/ap card and another for the green card itself.

you're in the last bit, and with TPS designation, I wouldn't wait on any appointment letter - just go and ask for Ms. Smith.

If any hassle with the guard, ie - he won't get Ms. Smith immediately or she's off on monday, ask for Ms. Smith's boss to come to the door. Be prepared to wait a bit.

Ok well do, my lawyer advised me not to do anything to wait for her to contact me or wait for a letter, but it sounds illogical to me,its like saying wait for the denial letter for non compliance! I dont want her to think i dont want this that bad!

There are NOT 2 biometric appointments. It is ONE appointment for all 3 applications. Has been this way since at least 2009 when I did it.

Honestly, I'm surprised she called you on a Saturday... could be she screwed something up and is trying to cover her butt. I suggest you take your lawyer with you on Monday (if he's available) to find out what's going on.

Unfortunately my lawyer is on vacation and wont be back until early december, thats why i asked if its a good idea that i go on my own. He said not to do anythign and just wait on whatever action they take, but im not comfortable with that.

okay. Well in law, like in life, sometimes things don't wait. I wouldn't wait either. Ask him who in his firm will go in his place. They basically just need to be there to listen. Hopefully it's "just" biometrics, if it's not.. that's when the lawyer could step in, request a formal interview at a date convenient with your proper attorney's schedule (unless the "step-in" attorney also specializes in immigration law).

**Edit - I would liken this to seeing the door to the lions cage open and just standing there seeing what's going to happen, rather than shutting the gate.

The immigration officer called my home early in the morning but i wasnt there, my mother picked up this is how it went: Good morning this is Officer Smith,is Mrs. M home? Mom:No she stepped out, IO: May i please have a number to contact her ? Mom:yes its #######,Offcee what is going on with my daughters case? IO: well i need to speak to her asap because she needs to get her fingerpeints done, for her green card. Mom:ok call her . then i receive a call but i didnt hear my phone, she left a voicemail it went like this : Hi this message is for K.J.M this is officer Smith i need you to give me a call back at this number i need you to get your fingerprints done asap thank you. I was still half asleep and i deleted the voicemail!!! Now i have no number to call her back and th natonal number is closed. Do the RFE letters have the officers phone number? my attorney has it,i spoke to him and he said that she needs to send me an official biometrics letter and she shouldnt be calling me she should be calling him. He said just let it go and be calm to wait for another call or a biometrics appointment. Im so confused i dont know what to do with my self right now! Why would she call me on saturday and why call me to get my fingeprints done if i just did them June? What do i do now? Does the RFE letter have her number?

they have a work every saturday because they also called my husband last saturday to informed that they working my petition and after 3 days i got my approval....
