Then your birth certificate (long form) will prove your status in the uk.

I'm currently going through the K3 process but have a friend who doesn't use the net who will be going through the k1 process, so i'm just trying to cover all bases really. hope this clears your confusion

The long form Certificate includes your parent's details. If you do a google search for it, you can order yours online. That is what my husband did. It's a small fee.
