Hi everyone,

I have my interview in London on the 5th December for my K-1 visa. I am just looking at the forms needed and I'm confused by the Affadavit. Who needs to fill this in? My fiancee (the US citizen) or me?

We also need a sponsor because we don't quite meet the requirements at the moment so is it ok to use my fiancee's stepfather or do I have to use someone from my side.

Thanks

I moved your post to the UK forum, because London has very specific procedures that differ from most (if not all) embassies; and the general replies may end up confusing you.

In the instructions for the I-134:

As the sponsor, you must show you have sufficient income or financial resources to assure that the alien you are sponsoring will not become a public charge while in the United States.

You are the alien. She or another US citizen or US permanent resident can sponsor you by filling in the form and proving their income or income + assets.

Instructions http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134instr.pdf

If you happen to have tens of thousands of cash savings yourself, London will let you self sponsor by showing them proof of your money. The alien never fills out an affidavit of support. Just prove your cash assets.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.
