Yep...we've officially cranked out baby number 2, an 8 lb 14 oz girl. I've got one of each now and thank God, they both look more like her than me! kicking.gif

Anyway, long story short, the doctor told us the baby had not descended very far so I was mentally bracing for a long day. Ah...but this is a Ukrainian woman...

My wife almost shot the baby out on the very first push and the doctor had to tell her to stop because she wasn't ready yet. After the doc finally got into her catcher's gear and lined up on the plate, it was over in about 20 seconds.

All is well and we're back at home reminiscing about how we used to sleep.

I'll have to stop back in and see what everyone is up to when I get more time (probably in about 18 years eh?). Hope all the RUB regulars are doing well.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

Congrats! Having been through it recently, I can relate to the 1st rule. Honestly LL, what impresses me most is that she was able to stop pushing, and then deliver on the doctors command.

Congrats to you also! It's a lot of work, but it's the best thing in life.

Totally true about the toilet paper...I don't know where it all goes, but it goes fast. Thank goodness for stores like Costco.

The doc was a woman so maybe that had something to do with the listening part.

Thanks everyone! =)

Uh, maybe they're sleeping naked with women other than Alla?

Regarding the toilet paper, I've resorted to buying it wholesale from janitorial supply companies, si man. You can get boxes of 100 rolls delivered to your door, and you don't have to worry about schlepping to Costco.

I strongly prefer Windsoft, which is not available anywhere retail. The WIN2200 line is the best -- the sheets are long & wide enough to do their, uh, doody. Go to www.nextag.com, type in "WIN2200", and see who's cheapest. Some outfits offer free shipping.

I do the same for facial tissue (30-box cartons of WIN2360 -- good stuff) and for paper towels (30-roll cartons of WIN1220 -- look carefully to be sure that the rolls have 100 sheets vs. 85).

This really, really, REALLY saves time, money, and schlepping to & from stores, and it averts running out of this stuff without realizing it, because you see exactly what's left in the carton.

Oh -- and congratulations, si man! :)

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
