"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I only got to watch the first few minutes of it before I posted it, but ya that's insane. The horse crossing the street using the crosswalk was classic.

My first trip to FSU was to Kyiv. I rented a car thinking 'why not?'. Craziest driving I have ever seen! They are the most aggressive drivers you could ever imagine. Russian drivers are sedate compared to Ukrainians. I watched drivers in Ferraris and other sports cars doing at least 100mph on downtown boulevards at night from my apartment balcony on Kreshchatyk street. 3 marked lanes means 5 actual lanes of cars. Cutting other drivers off during rush hour is routine and expected. If you don't drive aggressively you will go nowhere. It was hair raising but fun! I would not recommend it for the faint of heart!

Yes, and NONE of those drivers will get a ticket but the cops call stuff like that "jackpot!"

 And if a lane is closed, they just jump over to the sidewalk!

Why do so many people have dash cams?

I loved the helicopter and jet videos. But my favorite was probably the drunk guy towards the end where he lays on the hood and says "oiyeeee"

Because there is so much interesting stuff to record!

See if you can find the video of the icy tunnel in Moscow. There was a tunnel where a water main broke turning the entire thing into an ice rink and, of course, they did not close it to traffic. It is so funny, you will bust a gut laughing! I don't know how to search that stuff like you. Sergey used to send me this stuff when he was in school in Moscow. I think it is on YouTube.

maybe i shouldn't have told my fiancee to get a driver's license in russia...........

Its OK, she can probably buy one pretty cheap. Alla had one and couldn't keep a car on the pavement when she got here (no kidding). But Vermont accepted it as valid (fools!) for 60 days and we used it as her "learning permit" I am not kidding she took out 3 mailboxes and a fire hydrant in the first couple weeks. I bought her a van at an auction for, I think, $900. Something like that. She crashed it over and over learning to drive. Mostly into trees and shrubs, brush, ditches, etc. Almost hit our house in one of her early parking attempts. I was glad when she could get the car onto our 3 acres of property...close enough!

oh dear god. i don't have 3 acres of property in los angeles for my lady to roam in. lol

Roam in? Oh Hell no. That was to PARK on! I was glad if she could get the car on our property! Asking to get it on the driveway was too much for at least 2 weeks. Then she could hit the driveway but it might be crooked or one wheel off in the grass.

I strongly suggest, if you can afford it, and she will let you, get professional driving instruction. I could afford it but she did nto want to go to a stranger, she expected me to do it. I did, and it has been OK so far, really, could be worse. Pasha was and is, by far, the best driver of the bunch. Sergey is the worst, but he hardly ever drives so it is probably not fair to decide that.
