LOL...wth? It means just what it says it means. Israel has the go ahead as far as the West is concerned. That's what's called a "Green Light" in layman's terms. The future home of Hamas will be Cairo by the time it's all said and done. Hamas can maybe launch some missiles from there but that would only give Israel the green light to level Egypt..again. Last time Israel and Egypt went at it the Israeli's had their tanks within 20 miles of Cairo with nothing in front of them other than some sand. The US yanked Israel's leash when the USSR got involved and that's the only reason an Israeli flag wasn't flying over Cairo.

So, now you are saying Obama gave Netanyahu the green light to invade Egypt. Care to share where and when this happened?

You are barking up the wrong tree. I follow what's going on with Israel and it's neighbors just about every day in the news. I'v done this for years now. It's a hobby of mine. Hamas has broken every truce since Operation Lead. EVERY TRUCE. Hamas is rolling the dice hoping that Morsi will support them with military help from Egypt. Now if I was blind, deaf, and dumb and did not follow who fired first then I might actually buy into one of your post on this thread but seeing how I'm none of the above your post is a fail.

When all this is said and done I would be surprised if Israel didn't annex Gaza. It would be the smart thing to do on their part. It eliminates a problem and it's not like Israel's neighbors are going to warm up to them even if they don't annex Gaza. The Arab Spring took care of any hopes Israel ever had of making peace with it's neighbors. Best thing Israel can do now is clean house and if that means attacking it's neighbors in order to live a peaceful life then so be it. Obama and Merkel gave their support for a Israel ground invasion of Gaza three days ago.

And they will do it to. It is silly that people think Israel should just sit around while idiots blow them selves up in crowded places and lob rockets into their country.. Looks the religion of Love and Peace is slaughtering people again.

Think about it. What if Mexico or Canada was to start lobbing rockets at the US day in and day out. What would be the reaction then? Yet a few posters on here want to pretend that the rest of us had a recent frontal lobe lobotomy.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

What is IDF firing into Gaza atm? Hardly seems fair, does it?

Intelligent people don't take a knife to a gunfight. Nobody ever accused Hamas of being intelligent.

The British were much better equipped and disciplined than the Colonialists, yet eventually the British withdrew. The great British Empire spent most of its glory years withdrawing from inferior forces. The French, the Russians, even the Americans, have done the same thing against inferior opponents. Why should the Palestinians think the Israelis will fare any better?

If they are sovereign, yes, the world has decided they have that right. However, the question the world refuses to answer, do Palestinians have the right to the means to do so?

Actually, sovereignty is not a requirement for the right to self-defense under international law.

Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Convention of 1949, (Act 1 C4), passed in 1977, declared that armed struggle can be used, as a last resort, as a method of exercising the right of self-determination.

The UN General Assembly's 20th session further clarified in 1965 "the legitimacy of struggle by the people under colonial rules to exercise their rights to self-determination and independent." Moreover, the assembly encouraged "all States to provide material and moral assistance to the national liberation movements in colonial territories."

Furthermore, international law has already granted the Palestinians the right to sovereignty; it has been denied that right by Israel. UNGA Resolution 3236, passed in 1974, recognized that the collective rights of the Palestinian people were fully and properly recognized, including the Palestinian people's right for self-determination in accordance with the United Nations Charter (which, in retrospect gives them the same right of self-defense granted to sovereign states.) In addition, it granted them the right of national independence, sovereignty and right of return to their homes.

A more viable comparison would be:

What if the U.S. forcibly occupied Monterrey, Mexico and a swath of Northern Mexico all along the Rio Grande, ethnically cleansed most of the inhabitants by driving them further into Mexico, bulldozed their villages, and appropriated their businesses; then started moving heavily armed American citizens, escorted and protected by American army troops, into the occupied lands; and then announced these lands were now the 51st state ? What would be the reaction from Mexicans ?

There's only one way to solve the conflict between Hamas and Israel and it's being settled right now. Nothing short of war is going to solve anything between those two. Hamas bit off more than it can chew like it did last time right before Operation Lead. Nothings changed other than the Iron Dome. Hamas hid behind women and children last time like the no guts terrorist they have shown to be in the past and it's going to be pretty much of the same during the first two weeks of this next coming invasion. Except this time Israel isn't going to invade and pull out. It's going to finish a job it should have done last time. Hamas is going to go the way of Arafat. Their going to be crying to the UN and Arab countries from anywhere other than Gaza. Israel grows and Palestine goes back to what it was before the exodus of the Jews.

What exactly did Hamas "bite off" when it agreed to the cease fire that Israel decided to violate ?

If the Arabs had done it right they would have signed the original mandate agreeing to the right of the State of Israel. Hindsight is 20/20. All the UN resolutions and mandates mean nothing now. It's the end of Gaza as we know it. The map of Israel is about to change once again right after Israel is finished dealing with Hamas.
