I am going to attend the interview with my fiancee in Cuba and i want to prepare for possible questions they might ask us. Is it a good thing that i attend the interview with him. I want him here and want to do whatever it takes to have him here.

I went with my fiancee for his interview. Everything was really easy!

The council was extremely friendly. She asked him how we met? Where do I work? When we met for the first time? Who proposed and how? Why are we getting married in US and not in Cuba?

She didn't even ask for proof of our relationship!!

My advise is be there if you can and make sure you have all the papers organized. La senora que recoje los papeles es un poco rude!!

Good Luck!!

**Moved from K1 to Caribbean forum as the question is specific for people going through the Embassy in Cuba

Please, English only in the main forums. Podemos hablar Español solo en los foros regionales.

Jillian, read the embassy reviews for Havana. A few of us have written the questions we were asked there. Here is a link to mine including the questions we were asked. http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=9260

I think one of the important things is that your Cubano doesn't go into long explanations - practice with him answering just yes or no to a question they will ask, and only elaborating when asked to do so. You know how some Cubans love to embellish and you might have an interviewer who doesn't understand the culture.

Good luck - and we were very nervous, but it all went fine!
