Hi Guys, my house got flooded 2 days ago and the brown envelope handed to me after my approval got soaked. Dont know what to do. Good thing is that it is still sealed, but content might be wet and probably damaged. Should i contact the Consulate in Lagos? Anyone with a similar experience?

Call the consulate and ask them the best way forward.

Just to update you all. Went to the consulate with my brown envelope. It was opened by a staff at security point. After handing the envelope over, i was told damage was minimal, but then a complication arose. Docs were missing in the envelope. According to the consulate staff, copies of my birth cert, marriage cert and the whole medical was not included. I remembered during my interview, we were asked to open the medical envelopes before entering the premises. Officers verified my docs then i had my interview,i was approved and a week later i collected passport and envelope. I can swear i remembered a lady asking me for copies of my birth cert and marriage cert, which i handed over. As per the medicals, dont know what happened. Anyway, they collected my passport and told me to go get a new medical. Went back to the clinic where i had my medical and i requested for my medical records to be traced. I was told i might be able to get a copy tomorrow. I got home and went thru my stack of docs and guess what? There was my medical report in my personal file at hme. Now i am so confused, dont know what 2 do. I plan returning the report to the clinic. I am sure they must have handed the report back t me in error at d interview. So my question is, why did i get a visa with the brown envelope, without the 2 certs and medical. Miracles do happen they say.

Thanks for the update!

Sorry for the extra complications, but better now than at the airport.

Thats my Joy. What if i got to the Airport at the POE and this had to come up. Maybe the flooding occurred mysteriously to prevent the fiasco that could occur if i had to bbe sent back from the POE. Question Peng uin, do u think i should get a new medical or just turn in the one i found at home?

Unless the medical is older than 6 months, I would just turn in the one you found.
