Can someone please explain to me the process of petitioning my parents?

I fill out form I-130 for EACH parent and i submit it with the $420 fee, wait for receipt letter, normally how long does this take? 4-6 months wait? and do they mail the receipt to my parents in UK or to my address here in Texas?

Then when do i have to send in the I-485 form with the $985. (Add $85 biometric fee for a total of $1070) fee, is that for EACH PARENT?!?!?!?! I'm confused - need help on that one.

Can my auntie be the one to file the I-485 form??? or does it have to come from me and then she will be the one to file I-485A supplement form because she has the money and I don't basically.

Please advise.

Each parent is a separate case and needs their own fees and petition. You need to file the I 864 form with each petition. You will need the money for the total family size. If you are short you can get a joint sponsor, one for both or one for each ( they are separate petitions ) It should take about a year total for them to get a visa.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

The receipt notice for the I-130s (you are correct, one form and one fee for each parent) will come to you as the USC petitioner.

There will be no I-485 in this process. Once their I-130s are approved, they will be forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC). That's when you'll need to file the I-864 affidavits of support and gather their documents (birth certificates, etc.) as instructed by NVC. Once everything's been submitted and checked by the NVC, they will be scheduled for an interview at the Immigrant Visa Unit at the consular section of the embassy in London. After the interviews and approvals there, they'll be issued IR-5 visas that will automatically convert to green cards when they enter the US. No adjustment of status (I-485) required once they get here.

At this point you're talking about the I-864. You will have to file an I-864 for each of your parents yourself as the petitioner/sponsor. If you don't meet the income/asset requirements for sponsorship, you can have a joint sponsor (who will also be filling out an I-864, not an I-864A unless he/she is a member of your household).

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

poverty guidelines.....

currently we are a family of 3 (myself, hubby and baby girl).

parents will not be living with us but with other relatives in Vegas.

says family of 3 is $23,862, so i have to make a minimum of that? because right now i make double that....

so to confirm, when petitioning parents only form I-130 and $420 fee x 2 are involved followed by I-1864 for each parent as well?

will the medicals take place BEFORE USCIS asks for the I-864 forms??

Doesn't matter whether your parents will be living with you. For the I-864, you have to count them as members of your household. So you need to look at the guideline for a household of 5.

The medicals take place AFTER NVC (not USCIS) asks for the I-864 forms.

Yes. Originals or certified copies, as well as a photocopy of each.
