Hello all,

I just called USCIS for a status update..

They received my petition for I-129F on June, 14.... So I have just passed the 5 month mark.

They said the are currently processing applications from April 16th..

I asked if I could put in a service request since I am past the 5 month processing window. She said they no longer give processing times and now they only report on what they are currently working on. She suggested I call back in 2 months....

UGGG !!!!!!!!!

My complaint is that they don't update the website on the processing times and then they expect us to think the website is useful. It seems this website is MORE useful than the official USCIS website. Pretty sad. Very poor performance.

My suggestion is when/if you (unfortunately) hit 6 months or a few days after, call and request tier 2. Ask WTH is taking so long, is your case with an officer, etc. It helps if you track #s from your group on the USCIS website so you can add in that people around you are being approved but you aren't. I did this last week. I was told I would have an answer to my inquiry as to what was taking so long by Nov 24.

So, low and behold after 6 and a half months I got approved yesterday. I know the wait is horrible but it really is worth it.

05/02/12 - I-129F sent

Looking at the processing status updates on this site, it appears as if they're processing May right now. You will probably hear something in the next couple weeks. Good luck!
