I wouldn't get the surgery in any country. I have very bad vision. I wear Focus night & day for 30 days at a time and have better than 20/20 vision. "NIGHT & DAY allows up to 6x more oxygen to your eyes than the leading soft contact lenses." Very comfortable. No surgery for me thanks...

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

My astigmatism is too bad for that.

I think you are just afraid of change! :)

I'd do one eye at a time. If I lose one eye, at least I'll have the other one.

Yeah, and they can really do amazing things to fix your eyes these days. Last year my dad and I were camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and he chopped a piece of wood which sent a little splinter right into his eye and blinded him. After I managed to get us back to our car (8 hrs later) and drive back to Minneapolis (5 more hrs) they were able to perform surgery and, after 2 more surgeries, completely restore his eye. It was amazing.

This was after he had had Lasik three years prior. And to be honest, he forgot to wear safety glasses with his axe because he was still used to wearing glasses....so maybe all of that was Lasik's fault...

too bad about the astigmatism.

I love technology. It's just that I have no reason to get the surgery. What I fear is getting surgery and my vision isn't better than 20/20. That would annoy me.

Me too. I heard there is an age after which that happens, but I'm not sure what it is.
