Change passport during the process

Hi everyone,

I have a question about passport. I am a beneficiary when my US fiance sent out the 129F package, I copied of my old passport and submitted in the package. During the process I got a new passport because of my old one had an error on place of birth and I didn't want any problem with it. Right now I am holding the new passport and use it to travel the the US on B2 visa to visit my fiance and I will use this one of course for the K1. Does anyone have this situation? What should I do to explain to the consulate when I have an interview? Thank you very much.

You should explain it the same way you did here.

Let them know you had to get a new passport due to some errors on it. No big deal.
