Possible RFE

Here's the deal. I submitted the I765 and I131 applications concurrently with the I485 on Sept.14 and received the NOA on Sept. 19. After submission I realized I hadn't submitted all the supporting documents for the I765 and I131. I believe the I485 to be complete.

If I were going to get an RFE would I have already gotten it? It's right at the 2 month marker and we haven't heard a peep. The USCIS website still just says "Acceptance" for the I485 which I think is pretty common and the I765 and I131 case statuses both say "Initial Review". Do they check to make sure all your documents are there when they get the packet? Or do they wait until it's turn in the big pile? The folks I've seen so far with RFE's got them pretty quickly after they submitted their applications.

They don't check if all documents are there as soon as they get the packet. Some people get RFE after, for example, 10 months of waiting.

Have the documents ready in case you get a RFE. Wait and see.

I got a RFE after 6 mon of waiting.so youll just have to wait it out and see.if you a rfe no big deal,at least they looked at it. Hopefully everything is fine and ull jus get a noa2. good luck.

I'm not anticipating an RFE for the I485(though anything is possible). I'm pretty certain that part of the application was complete. I was more or less anticipating one for the I765/I131 which I filed concurrently. The estimated timeline for EAD/AP approval is 90 days so I'm sincerely hoping that it doesn't take 6 to 10 months to get an RFE for that.

We have very close to the same timeline as you (and same Biometrics date) and ours says the same thing. We did send in the right supporting documents too.

Many people seem to receive to EAD/AP within 60-70 days rather than the full 90 so we're hoping for that.

You could still get an RFE but if it is for the AP and EAD It probably won't take 6 months.

I was so busy making sure I had everything for the I485 I didn't include any of the supporting documents specifically with the I765 or I131. So no passport photocopy, no marriage cert, no birth cert, no passport-style photos, no nothing. I just filled in the applications and included them in the I485 packet.

The only thing required in your list is passport photos. The other things are extraneous. You might get lucky and they will give it a pass, because you have biometric photos.

We did get lucky! They gave us a pass and approved Paul's EAD/AP yesterday! :dance:
