Hello November filers,

Two days ago, I received my I-797C NoA stating the date of my interview as Feb 8th at Los Angeles office. I recently moved to a new apartment, few blocks from my old one. I updated the address with USCIS on Jan 3rd. Today morning, I received an email update for USCIS which says "we sent you a notice that the interview scheduled for your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was canceled by USCIS." What I am worried about is, they don't give any other information like "my application now will be considered under January filers?", "what is the reason for canceling the interview", and "What can be the rescheduled date" etc.

Could some one please comment about this.

I read from someone else's experience here on visa journey that you should still go for the interview. I am not sure who, but will search a little and see if I can find that post.

I read from someone else's experience here on visa journey that you should still go for the interview. I am not sure who, but will search a little and see if I can find that post.

Thank you for the reply. I am planning to go unless I receive nother NoA with rescheduled time. Do you suggest me to go on Feb 8th even if I receive another appointment?

Yes, I think you should still go just to make sure there is no mix up somewhere. Unless you can get a definite word from a tier 2 customer service rep.

Its due to your address change. You might want to check with your local USCIS office as interviews are office specific.

Day1 -- 09/23/2012 - 130, 485, 765 AOS package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

Day4 -- 09/26/2012 - Emails/texts acceptance confirmation in evening :-)

Day5 -- 09/27/2012 - Checks Cached

Day16-- 10/12/2012 - Received Biometrics Appointment(appointment for 10/24/2012)

Day33 - 10/29/2012 - EAD card Production Ordered-Pleasant surprise :)

Day37 - 11/02/2012 - EAD Card received - WoW !

Day40 - 11/05/2012 - Interview letter for Dec 4 date - The BIG Day !

Day70 - 12/04/2012 - Interview done. Pray to GOD!

Day95 - 12/28/2012 - Letter for 2nd Interview in Feb

Hi everyone - i am glad to report that i just got the letter to schedule the interview for my wife and i ! the interview is 2/12

now i need to follow the instructions on there and put my stuff together for them and start preparing for interview.

Any advise on preparing for interview? i think i've seen some sample questions on this forum that i'll be pulling.

hope everyone's journey is coming along well too

Day 11/16 AOS Package Accepted

Day 11/20 Received Text with receipt numbers

Day 11/21 Checks cashed

Day 11/26 -Letter for Biometrix - its on 12/20

Day 12/20/ went to do biometrics, turn away as wife has a cut on thumb - will try to walk in next week

Day 12/28 - bio metrics done ! - walked in San Diego as we were visiting my in laws.

Day 1/4/2013 - received text/email that case is ready to be scheduled for interview !

Day 1/15/2013 - received hard copy letter to let us know interview is on 2/12 !

Day 1/17/2013 - received text/email that EAD has been approved

Day 1/26/2013 - received EAD card

Day 2/12 - interview done - approved on spot!

No word of interview date for me and I'm starting to get worried.

I called USCIS about a week ago and was transferred to a tier 2 rep who told me not to worry. He said he was sending an email so that they could at least work on my EAD and then about 3 days later, I got a mail from USCIS stating that I should hear something about EAD within 30 days of the notice. Other than that, no movement on my case.

Any tips on how to proceed?
