Hopefully they will approve your case soon. It sucks that they are dragging their feet. For our case, I wish it is in "Initial Review" stage instead of "Acceptence" stage. How do I make a service request? The only contact I have is the 1-800-375-5283. Thanks in advance for your help.

Call that same 800 number and tell them you need to make a service request regarding you application that has been pending for nearly 6 months without an interview notice. You might want to insist on speaking with a 2nd level customer service rep, because the 1st level guys don't seem to help much.

Hey Guys had my interview on 4-30-13 at NYC Federal Plaza. It seemed to go fine i'd say, but the IO said our case is still pending a background check. I am so frustrated that my wait continues. Has anyone have this experience too?

Hi there, I just joined the site today and we had the same experince - we filed in November for my AOS and had my interview on 5-01-2013 at Federal Plaza. The interview seemed to go fine but at the end the IP said that they'll do some more background checks. We had every detail they requested and more. I wonder what the processing/decision time is post interview at Federal Plaza? So frustrating and draining. We just want to get on with being married and having peace of mind!

I feel your pain, it's been nearly two weeks and counting still no updates. We are sick of waiting too and I frankly can't understand why they haven't completed a background check after all these months of waiting. I'll let you know how if I have any updates and please share how your case is going too.

Well it will be interesting to see if we both get a response around the same time, seeing that we filed and were interviewed around the same date at Federal Plaza. I agree - I figured that's why there is a gap between the initial filing, Biometrics and the interview date - to allow sufficient time to do background checks between November and the interview. I'll keep you posted on any updates I receive, and I'd appreciate if you would to! Thanks!

Yes, she told us during the interview that the card would be there in 30 days. It took a week to get to us which is right in line with everybody else that had a similar experience at their interview. We did get a lot of texts and emails updating the case, approving, mailing, and delivering the GC. Sometimes it takes other people a few weeks. I'm guessing that because of our 3 total weddings on both sides of the planet, it showed enough evidence to approve us on the spot.
