There are many posts on how the medical procedure step of the visa journey works so thought of posting my husband's experience too.

He had his appoinment at the Lilavathi Hospital, Bandra at 9am on 11-15-2012 and so reached there a little past 8:30 and found there were already 16 people ahead of him. He was impressed with the waiting room although not happy with all the waiting. As he checked in and got token number he was handed forms to fill out which he returned and then got his height, weight and Blood pressure checked, everything was normal.

At 11;30 he was called again, gave another form to be filled out. this time they asked for his appoinment letter, checked and gave it back, then took his photos. My hubby got his white background visa photos but they wanted the regular passport size photos, luckily he had those and so handed it to them. After submitting the filled form he was called for an eye check up and then again waited.

He was later called for payment at the cashier for an amount of 1600Rs and then he was taken to the clinic where his blood was drawn and chest x-ray was taken. He came back to the waiting area and then after some time was called to the doctors office. The doctor asked him few questions for clarifying medical history, then about vaccinations, my husband showed his vaccination records, then the doctor performed a brief physical examination and advised for 2 vaccinations that is MMR and tetanus.

My hubby went to the pharmacy bought the vaccinations which cost him around 900Rs, took it to the nurses station. the nurse administered the vaccinations, gave him a reciept asking him to come back on Saturday ie; 11-17-2012 past afternoon time to pick up his report.

Hope this helps some folks out there preparing for your medical at the mentioned hospital.

Hi thanks for review

can you please share details about the form you have to fill up at Lilawati what questions or info is required in the form ???

My husband filled the forms so I cannot get to the details, but he said the first one was just personal information like your name, address, passport no., case number etc., rest 2 to 3 forms were all yes or no questions for a ton of diseases, medications etc. One of these forms had like ht, wt, BP coulmns which were filled by nurses as they got the values via testing. Very straight forward questionare my friend. no worries!

He also got his report on Saturday, as told hassle free. He just had to produce his DL ID. I forgot to mention on my post that they also took his passport copies. I guess this will aid them to identify candidates when they come back to pick up medical report
