We are on the same boat Teague. Who knows when will they approve our applications. It is very depressing thinking everybody I've known got their visa already and some are due for interview. By the way, we received our I-797 last Nov. 13 for our K3 route. I hope it will keep on moving..crossing fingers!

I'm sorry you are waiting so long, but you still have the option to visit your husband for christmas, and you still have the option to send your baby to live with your husband to get the help he needs.

Keep you head up, i know it is frustrating and heart breaking, but you need to stay postive and what every you do, do not change directions as it will take longer. I as well tried all of the routes trying to get my fiances visa approved so she could be her to give birth to our son, at the end of the day no one helped.

Hi, unless your husband is a resident of the Philippines, or resides in the Philippines because he is assigned there by his company; there's no chance that he could file a DCF. I've been residing here in the Philippines under the Balikbayan one year visa and still the US Embassy did not allow me to file a DCF. The reason being that I don't have an ACR, and if I do not at least proof that my company is based here. Pinoy din ako.

I've read somewhere here in this Forum that one or two filers were able to persuade the US Embassy people for them to file a DCF without the benefit of residing here, but then those are exceptions and perhaps their pleading was finally entertained. You could always try, but it would cost you another $420! Or perhaps you could ask USCIS in Vermont to transfer your file to Manila and skip paying the $420 all over again. But if I were you, I'd leave things the way they are in Vermont. Transfers and extra handling of paperwork only add to the processing time.

what is the option to visit my husband? pls do tell

Yep. DCF is very enticing sis, but i just don't know how to do it. Are we gonna start all over again and cancel the one in the USCIS. Our problem is we have a pending I-130.

Your option visiting your hubby sis is to get a tourist visa which is so hard for us Filipinos to get approved. Chances are the consul will tell you to have the spousal visa instead because we are married with US citizen. But if you want to give it a try, i think it only cost $160. You have to have a strong ties to Philippines to convince them that you will return in the Philippines, so get ready with your properties like house and lot, car, business and bank statements.

Ok we had an american friend here and was able to file a DCF.. he has 19 yr old wife, and he is NOT A RESIDENT HERE IN PI.. and he is just living here for only 2 years... so, I believe that there is A GREAT CHANCE MY HUSBAND CAN PULL THIS OFF.. he lives here longer than our american friend, we have house and lot here, some of the bills are in his name, he has strong ties with the PNP here in Zamboanga city cuz he became an instructor to the PNP in self defense.. SO, i dont know why and how special our american friend that his wife got approved if the embassy will not approved our papers..

Yes, i don't think our papers will not be approved taking that DCF route but my only question is HOW to do it. Are we going to CANCEL our pending I-130 and submit another papers in the Embassy in Manila?. My husband been here since 2007 for over 2 yrs at one time then the following years he is only in the states for 3 to 5 months. He is retired but last year when we filed our application, he needed to be in the states for business matters. So, i guess we also have a big chance to get approve. We are renting a high end condominium in Cebu City which is in our both names, and has other properties too. Our bills is mostly on his name and i guess it would be enough to prove them the he is living here. He has ACR card too, the first one was issued last 2010. BUT the ONLY question is HOW to do it with the existing I-130 which is pending..Any idea?
