hi again everyone!

i overlooked the forums and i posted on the main forum for ircr1. so im posting here again so its more useful for users :) i was checking the uscis website to check the status and im like thinking and saying it will be initial review again but i was wrong! last night it says post decision activity and our application has been approved! yay! we filed may 2012 and i think we got our noa1 may 25th. so its so awesome and so so good. God is really great and the best!

since were moving to nvc stage now, i got a few questions and i hope someone can help with this :) first, my husband (petitioner and us citizen) is here with me now and planning to stay here until we can both go back to the states. so ive been reading the nvc stage step by step process and since hes here but hes not planning to live here, can we choose his mom to be the choice of agent since shes in the states? is that possible? and are we going to send the packages (aos and iv thing (im not sure) from here straight to the nvc? or do we need to send it to his mom and his mom will send it to nvc?

2nd is he owns his business and he doesnt have pay stubs and w2 or 1099, so can he just send the certificate of the business itself to establish his work?

3rd is since hes here now but not planning to live here, do we need to send proof of domicile and other proofs that hes really based in the states?

thats all for now but im sure i will have lots of questions in the near future and i hope you'll all be patient to answer and listen. thank you very much and God bless! :)

hi shadesandbalcony, where did your husband filed a petition? is it here in the Philippines or in US? Because mine was here in the Philippines and my husband was with me too and staying here in the Philippines (He was a permanent resident here but domicile in US because he is a missionary) Now based on my experience, your husband need to send any proof of being domicile in US (EX. Bank statement @ least 6 months, pay-stubs, and proof that he has a house to live there when you get there). Is is his mom is your co-sponsor? Because if hes income is enough to support you, no need a co-sponsor. He needs also to fill up I-864, With latest ITR, W2. If he own a business he still need to submit an Individual Tax Return.

Thanks guys!

I think my question kind of confused you but thanks for answering :) were not planning to have a co sponsor but were asking if we can assign her mom as a choice of agent and he really doesn't have w2s but he has tax transcripts. Thanks for replying :) and also he filed in the states and just went here since his work season is done :)

If there's a need to submit your paperwork, which only your Mom could process expeditiously, then have your Mom (in the States) be your designated agent. I am here in the Philippines and I have designated myself as the agent because I could process our paperwork faster than anyone including my wife. I am a retired US military and I use the FPO (Fleet Post Office) of the Navy to mail my documents back to NVC and USCIS. Your husband may not have that privilege and using FEDEX or DHL could be expensive. I mail mine using domestic US stamps and priority mail.

His Mom better be well versed with emailing and attaching documents as there would be plenty of email going back and forth between NVC and her. You can also have your husband's email address as one of the email addressee so that each time NVC sends an email, he also gets a copy.

thanks for that information sir. what were thinking is just using his mom's mailing address to get stuff and send stuff (or do we need to send the aos package and IV pack directly from here to nvc? sorry im really confused) if were sending stuff directly from here whats the use of using his mom as choice of agent? will nvc send packages back to that address or to here since were planning to send the packages via fedex? and were thinking of using an email that his mom and us can access so we know what to do since his mom is kind of old and we dont want her to do tons of things. thanks for being helpful we really appreciate the help :)
