So I guess all of the in-fighting from the right, his 47% comment, the ill-timed birther joke, his refusal to release his tax returns, the fact he got his butt handed to him in the last 2 debates, and his all round ignoring of all minorites and "women full of binders" had no hand in it at all.

No hand in what?

No hand in what?

The fact that today he is Mitt Romney, not President-elect Mitt Romney.

Somebody has to win and somebody has to lose. Or, is the left going to continue to blame Romney for not running a better campaign, and defeating an incompetent President? Seems a little weird to me.

I find the majority blame the Republican party in general, not necessarily Romney. Unfortunately it seems that the Republican party wants to blame this magical "free stuff" on their candidate's loss, not on the flaws of their own party.

So let me ask this: If he was incompetent, why did he lose? And try to refrain from the free stuff comment. Who did you vote for?

The implication being the majority of the American people believes Romney to be more incompetent than Obama... Yiiiiiikes!

Or, just maybe enough of them do want all that stuff that somebody else will have to pay for. Either way, Obama won, Romney is just an also ran, along side Gary Johnson and Roseann Barr.

If that were the case, Romney would have won.

Too many pronouns.

I assume you are trying to say, if Obama was so incompetent, why did Obama win? Could be a lack of enthusiasm for Romney for any of a multitude of reasons, or could be some of the American people don't want to just write off the first black president, or maybe people really want the government to spread the wealth a bit more evenly, you know, that call for "Social Justice." Of course, not much changed in Congress either, so Obama's coattails didn't carry enough folks to give him the same control in Congress that he had when he was elected the first time. It looks like the American people want to give him another four years, but not a free reign. The election in 2014 will say more about what the American people were thinking.

If that were the case, Romney would have won.

Huh?

Based on your statement above, I commented that if that were to be the case (i.e. if your statement were correct) Romney would have been elected persident.

Romney was definitely the guy that promised free stuff. Free money, specifically. His sales pitch was, you get to keep more of your money, the government will spend a lot more money on medicaid and defense and we will reduce the defict at the same time. Have your cake and eat it, too. That was his sales pitch. Free lunch!

People didn't buy it.

Keeping more of your own money is not "free money", something the government fails to understand. Every dollar the government spends, on defense, or wealth redistribution, has to either be taken from some American, or has to be borrowed, and paid back by some future American yet to be born, with interest.
