I have LES statements saying I've made about 21k YTD, W2's saying similar things from last year... but when printing out the Personal Statement of Military Compensation it says as a e-3 i make around 37,000 and that's also what my PLT commander wrote in my letter from employer.... so what do i put down on the i-134 affidavit of support form?

Time Line:

April 13th 2012 Vermont Service Center received our application. (e-notification)

October 17th 2012 Our petition was accepted (e-notification)

November 7th Fiancee filled what needed to be filled out and sent the packet out
Late November: Medical exam, I sent her a packet with things she needed from me for the Interview
December 4th Jaga had her interview in Warsaw Poland! We got the visa :D
December 9th jaga picked up her visa in Bielsko-Biała :)

Whatever is stated on your tax returns.LES is to prove stable income, the letter from employer is a second proof to prove your employment at USMC . The main proof is your tax returns.

alright, i'll just send it out to her as is i suppose then. i highlighted all the different places it mentions pay. (be it the 21k, or 37k)

One more question, "life insurance" can i use my 400k SGLI for that question?

See the thing is, they didn't even have to mention your income in the letter of employment, I'm pretty certain of it. If they did its fine, but they didn't have to, so your total gross income is what you need to out down.

Yes you can use your 400k

MythaG, i wasnt using the SGLI as income, just filling in the blank where it asks if i have life insurance. And for income i decided to just leave the YTD amount of 21,500 showed on the latest LES statement.

Thanks a lot guys :)

YTD amount is what you have earned so far for this financial year, not what your annual income is.

The I-134 is asking for your annual income. Which from what I read above is what you earn in your personal statement of Military compensation as an E3.

thats what you need to write on your I-134

Yes that is right. All money that is paid to you, is considered your income.

PFC your not getting it. ask your readiness officer about that coz i know SGLI is not income that is just insurance. you know that you can only get your SGLI if ever happened to you while in combat zone. but you can declare your TSP as your income ( if you signed for TSP). i have 400k SGLI also plus 100k family SGLI but i never declared that as income. go to your ako account and go to mypay. once ur in mypay look to your w2. what ever income you have in your w2 thats your income in the army plus your TSP not SGLI..........
