Hello guys , my parents priority date became current (after almost 20 years) just this month and they haven't done anything yet. They didn't get their medical or anything and they told me they can just do it on the last week of this month. Now I am thinking that what if the priority date isn't current anymore...what will happen? :bonk:

I have tried to look for an F4 category step by step guide but there is none ..can anyone please point me in the right direction? I would greatly appreciate it..thanks :star: :star: :star:

is it really almost 20 yrs? if your PD is current you should receive instruction from NVC months before it will become current. im from phils. too but we've been waiting for our PD to become current again for 22 yrs already...how come your parent's only almost 20yrs...?

When is their interview schedule?

If they already received their interview letter from NVC then they can proceed and do their medical at St Lukes. http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml

March 1989 is their PD? Current PD as of DEC 2012 VB for F4 Philippines is MARCH 22, 1989. http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_5803.html

You have to be specific with the dates. If their PD is ON or EARLIER than March 22, 1989 then they should have received their I/L already (via beneficiary's email if indicated on their Choice of Agent form or via snail mail c/o petitioner's US address).

If their PD is AFTER the cut-off, March 23, 1989 or later, then they would most likely be current on the JANUARY 2013 VB. If so, they'll receive their I/L first week of December 2012.
