I have used them and had no issues. They saved me quite a bit of money and found flights on short notice when no one else could.

Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.

I don't mean to add to your stress but you really should follow your gut on this one. Many of my friends have used Qatar and have rated it highly. Its a 5 star airline but the layover can be very long.

It wasn't an issue with Qatar, I was having. My tickets have been purchased and confirmed...I do not have any stress now, but thank you.

Thank you for your input. I do believe I got a very good deal myself booking only 2 days out.

Thanks Geena...

Qatar seems to be the least expensive this round even though I've flown Delta, Untied (Continental) and AirFrance (before it was also Delta). Round trip was the least expensive. However, with Qatar, they book one way flights most of the time, so the ticket is divided by each way. If you fly round trip with them, it is very expensive. So one way $850, round trip $1700!

I did not know you could have part of your taxes refunded though! Do you have to do this before the ticket expires a few days before the flight....just go cancel it?

They make me uncomfortable also! Just pray over those funds and let God handle this one for you!

Do this a couple of days before your flight. Just call your airline's reservation call centre and ask them to cancel your booking and if there is any refund for the unused part. Different tickets have different fare rules, so you might be entitled to more than just a few taxes.

Wonderful information! They definitely don't tell you this over the phone when you book your tickets!
