Concerns about Change of Address

So back in April we filed an AR-11 online for change of address. I did forget to file the I-865 form for change of address for the sponsor.

So today I get our ROC coming soon notice. The problem is it was sent to our old address which was marked undeliverable and returned to USCIS. Now they tried to redeliver again to our old address. This time luckily the mail man forwarded it to our current address.

What was inside the letter surprised me a bit because they sent us a AR-11 to fill out and mail back. Remember I said that we did the AR-11 online in April. It said on my receipt copy I printed out from the AR-11 don't mail since it was submitted online.

I just mailed our I-865 a week ago with a copy of the AR-11 we submitted in April to the California Service Center. The letter we got wanted us to mail the AR-11 to the VT address.

Should I just wait to get some kind of notice from the California Service Center they got my I-865 change of address ? Should we fill out another AR-11 and mail it to the VT address ?

It is odd that the reminder notice had an AR-11 inside. It might not be related to you specifically but a general, courteous offering reminding you that if you HAVE moved to submit one. I actually just posted a reply about address change in another thread. I'll copy it here for you:

My husband (PR) and I sent our change of address notices within a week of moving back in May. We assumed there'd be no receipts but a week later I received one for my notice; he never did. A couple months later he received a ROC reminder in the mail with our previous address on it and a forward sticker from the USPS slapped over it. I thought it was illegal to forward government letters? I was worried ROC might wind up the same way so I had my husband call the hotline and they told him they weren't allowed to make changes over the phone but that the new address my husband gave him was the correct address on file, and that we could submit another if we'd like. From what we read on VJ correspondence seems to always be sent to whatever address you put on your most recent paperwork, so we filed ROC anyways and haven't had an issue since. Received both NOA and biometric letters at the new address without a forward sticker. I've yet to come across a story on VJ where someone was penalized for not updating their address with USCIS. It seems they want your most current address just for the sake of knowing where you are, but not as any kind of evidence towards whatever paperwork you submit. I assume that the reminder letter was sent based off our last submitted paperwork, which was AOS and had our old address on it. I don't consider it an issue at all by this point.

So, you might've received the reminder letter based on old paperwork with an old address. I think the set of address change notices you sent to CSC should be just fine, although if you're really worried you could submit another set to VSC but since it's all the same system it's just superfluous. I really wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for taking the time to reply and share that info. I heard that when you mail the I-865 change of address they will send a letter they got the change which I guess the don't do with AR-11 you submitted online.
