UPDATE:

Our interview for our K1 Visa was one month ago today. We were approved and have been waiting and WAITING for the visa to be issued, printed and sent by DHL to Montego Bay.

Oct 31 the embassy called my fiance (I was still in JA then) after some discussion the Officer told him it would be ready for pickup Nov 8 or 9. I wrote the Embassy via email last Monday and they said it would be another week so we hoped for yesterday or today (12/13th).

I called the Dept of State and they said Congratulations! it was issued last Thursday the 8th. DHL confirmed by phone that it still has not left the embassy by DHL and that my online tracking will tell me when it does. I have sent another email to the Embassy (I try to limit my inquiries to one per week as they requested). So no answer this time (so far). DHL did say they send the shipments Tues and Thurs each week which was helpful information. She said it did not come today so now we are HOPING it is sent on Thursday. I did not expect it to take this long after the interview approval to get the visa. We had no problems, great file, etc. The storm did delay things a few days but a MONTH? I know its different for each case but this has been a HUGE test of faith and fortitude. Not sure if I should ask my Congressman to help or just keep waiting - each week they say one more week though.

Please send positive thoughts out for us this week.

Thank you for listening.

Don't worry, you've been waiting all these months, so waiting for extra one more week, i don't think this will be problem for you. Please just keep calm and continue praying and am very sure that the week will not pass you and you will have the full cost to glorify his name.

:wow: I would've thought you had the Visa and he was already here. I would E-mail them, and call DOS and explain that it has not been issued to you although it has been printed.

The words I have been waiting to hear: got an email from the embassy this morning and it said:

Please contact the courier service. The package has been delivered to DHL.

However, yesterday afternoon (after 3:30) DHL said no package and they had already gotten the deliveries for the day. So back on the phone to see what DHL says this morning......oh my.
