Hi Everyone!

I filed a K1 visa for my fiance in June 2012 through CSC. My application was approved and forwrded to the Mumbai Consulate on August 28, 2012. It has been three months and my fiance and I have not heard or recieved anything from the consulate. He has not recieved his packet 3. His NVC visa approval expires in December! I called DOS to please let me know where my case was, and they told me that Mumbai consulate had not recieved our case from NVC!

What do I do? Does it take this long? I have emailed NVC telling them that Mumbai has not recieved our case. NVC replied back by saying they had forwarded it to Mumbai. We called Mumbai. They told us they do not have it. It keeps going back and forth!

If anyone can please help, it would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I am in the same situation since August 24, 2012. Did your fiance try to download the documents from the website and send it the embassy?

Ask NVC to do a track on your application. They should be able to tell you when the documents reached the embassy.

I just called NVC right now. She told me that NVC forwarded the case to Mumbai August 21. She said that she would put a trace on it. Hopefully this will tell me if it reached the Mumbai consulate. It seems as if Mumbai has the August cases somewhere but they have not logged them into the system, which is probably why DOS says Mumbai hasn't recieved the case. I guess it's a wait game. I'll update when I get more information.

We did download packet 3 from the site and couriered it to the consulate. I don't know if they recieved it yet, or if it will matter since they haven't logged us into their system. Did you send them packet 3?

Every Senators office has an immigration department... My lawyer told me to call the senators office where I live and within days we had the answers we meeded from Mumbai... Im not saying that works for everyone but its sure worth a shot.... and Mumbai HAS TO RESPOND TO A SENATORS OFFICE WITHIN 48 HOURS.... So you might get a gen responce but you will nothing if you dont try.. just google who your senators are in the state you live in and email both of them.. and see who helps you out...

good luck

Heh, I recently tried that. I live in California, so I mailed Senator Boxer and Senator Feinstein. I recieved emails from both stating to fill out the immigration form. Since Senator Feinstein replied first, I sent that back to her. My dad suggested we only ask one for help. It has been about 2 weeks since I mailed Senator Feinstein the information about our immigration case. Should I mail Senator Boxer as well? I'm pretty much out of options here, except to wait, I guess.

Back in early september, i emailed and also couriered the documents to the embassy.

We did download packet 3 from the site and couriered it to the consulate. I don't know if they recieved it yet, or if it will matter since they haven't logged us into their system. Did you send them packet 3?
