I received my NOA2 on sept 4th 2012 and a week later got my letter from the NVC stating that they where forwarding my case to the Kingston Embassy in Jamaica. Since then we've heard nothing!!!! I was told by the company I hired to prepare his k-1 that it only takes a matter of a week or two to send him the checklists but he hasnt received anything and its been 2 months!!!! I dont know what steps to take to insure that there isnt some major delay in our process that I dont know about? Is it common for Kingston to take this long to send the checklist out???Do they really respond to the e-mails in a timely matter?? If anybody has some insight I would greatly appreciate it

Call the DOS (202-663-1225) they will be able to tell you if something was sent out, if there is an interview date.

Normally, when you get the letter from NVC, they should already have your file. E-mail the embassy and ask. I would have your fiance complete the DS-230 part one, signed and see if they respond so you can get interview date.
