No NOA1?

Hello, we sent our package from Houston to Dallas on November 6th and I did include the notifications by email/text form. However, the check has not been cashed yet and it's been a week. Should I be worried? Or does it usually take this long? I just see a lot of people who get their NOA1 after a few days.

Also, how much do they actually look through the petition when they receive it? I made two stupid mistakes of not putting N/A on both Part B Question 12: "If your fiance is currently in the U.S., complete the following:" and Part C Question 1 "If you are serving overseas in the Armed Forces of the United States, please answer the following:". Would they see this and send it back?

Give it one more week...and I think they look at your address and the info about your fiance(name, country)

Hi! Don't worry, it'll come soon. Just like ours, we sent Sept. 2, check cashed on Sept. 11 and the NOA1 hard copy arrive in mail after few days.

I wouldn't worry ... I sent mine on exactly the same day (Tuesday Nov 6, election day!) via overnight express mail to Texas. It arrived there promptly, and on Saturday my bank online showed a "pending" transaction (they cashed the check but it hadn't quite cleared yet). Today it shows cashed, finally. And last night, even though it was Veterans Day and I didn't expect anything, around 9 p.m. I got the email notification saying they had sent the packet to CSC and the NOA1 would be coming in regular mail.

So keep checking your bank and email, but I'd say a few more days is totally reasonable, especially if you didn't overnight the packet. Good luck and keep in touch, since we are filers from the same day! :)

K-1 Visa: I-129F filed November 6, 2012, NOA2 May 17, 2013, Interview and Approval July 24, 2013

POE San Diego, September 13, 2013, Wedding October 25, 2013

AOS filed November 19, 2013, EAD/AP received January 30, 2014, interview and AOS Approval on February 27, 2014.

ROC filed December 3, 2015, NOA1 12/4/15, Biometrics 12/31/15, ROC Approval on June 16, 2016, 10-Year Green Card received June 22, 2016.

N400 filed September 14, 2023, same day acceptance and Biometric Reuse notice, Interview on 2/13/24: Passed and same day oath. ALL DONE WITH USCIS.

2023 September 14: same day acceptance notice and "Biometrics Reuse" notice

2023 December 28: notice of interview scheduled for February 13, 2024

2024 February 13: naturalization interview (five-year rule) passed, same day oath - now a US Citizen and done with USCIS!

i wouldn't worry .. i mailed mine 11/1 and still haven't heard a thing, and the check hasn't been cashed. sometimes it can take a few weeks. btw, i made a 'support group' for november filers here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/398014-november-2012-filers/. would love to see the thread get more action!
