Hello Folks :)

Quick question...

According to the "USCIS Early Filing Calculator", I can apply for my citizenship on 06/10/2013. (Citizenship through marriage).

I have a friend who works with Immigration, and she said my citizenship can be denied because I travel a lot (??). I got my Green Card in Sep/2010, and none of my trips were over 6 months. Since I do not trust my "expert" friend, I am asking you guys <3 :)

Above you can check all my trips until now:

09/09/2010 - 02/15/2011 159 days outside the USA

05/15/2011 - 07/03/2011 49 days outside the USA

02/11/2012 - 04/07/2012 56 days outside the USA

08/08/2012 - 10/14/2012 68 days outside the USA

Total of 332 outside the USA (I hope my math isn't that terrible lol)

Do you guys think is it OK to apply in June/2013?

Thanks!

Looking at the forms and attachments on USCIS's site, it appears to me that you should be fine. They mention that one isn't eligible for citizenship if they travel elsewhere for more than 6 months at a time and/or spend a total of 18 months (out of the last 3 years) in another country and not be able to prove they still had ties to the US.

Since no one of your trips lasted more than 6 months, you're good on that part. And currently, you haven't spent more than 18 months outside the US. Just be careful with any upcoming trips outside the country as that will bring your total up, nearing 18 months.
