Hi All,

I'm happy to see my time table estimate for the arrival of my NOAs is moving up a few days, but I am concerned about its accuracy. After browsing topics on here, it seems that the time to complete varries alot.

If you've already gotten you're NOA2, how accurate was the estimate. Did it change by a large amount while you were waiting? I'm just trying to get a general idea, obviously there are outliers.

I can't say that it's very accurate unfortunately. My timeline was originally mid to end of October and it's moved way back unfortunately. So even though the dates will change, I don't think the timeline estimates are accuate, just a ball park idea and no guarantees.

Ours was pretty accurate. They changed it to one week later, and we got it that week. It took us 6 1/2 months to get ours. (VSC) But from what I hear, they're moving a bit quicker lately. Hope you hear from them soon! Good luck!

It's fairly accurate. We got our NOA2 about 10-15 days earlier than predicted while others with the same NOA1 date got theirs later than us. Originally, we filed in April, and Vermont was moving fast at the time. Our estimated date of notice was in August. Vermont slowed tremendously, and our date got pushed back to late October. We got the approval mid October. It is only an estimate. It's going to move up and down based on the USCIS proclaimed processing times, and the trends that VJ members accurately log in. It is not inaccurate because of this. On the contrary, it is more accurate when the dates move around because people are logging in their details.

The Estimated timeline was very accurate. We got our NOA2 for K1 the week it was estimated and the same thing with my hubby's EAD. We received a text last week saying it was being processed and according to VJ timeline our estimated date was Nov. 9

I've been using this nifty little tool to see what's going on with other users who have files for the K1, with the beneficiary from the same country, and the same service center processing their application. It's helped me get an idea of what I'm looking at.

2013-03-29: Paid for a service through RapidVisa & began to prepare paperwork.
2013-04-11: Sent all the necessary documents to RapidVisa for review.
2013-04-12: Signed my application in red ink, so I had to overnight RapidVisa my application signed in BLUE ink.
2013-04-15: RapidVisa reviewed my application, found no fault and sent the I-129F Application to the Texas Lockbox.
2013-04-17: Electronic notification that the application was forwarded to the VT Service center.
2013-04-19: NOA-1 Received (snail mail) with the wrong country of birth for the foreign Partner. Notice date was 2013-04-15.

2013-04-19: Electronic Notification Received that an Alien Registration Number (ARN) was assigned to Foreign Partner.
2013-04-22: Called USCIS and corrected the typographical error on the NOA1.
2013-04-30: Received notification that the typographical error on the NOA1 has been corrected in the electronic system, but the error was minor and will not affect my application, as it is still valid.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
