From the Wedding Music thread:

We have similar musical tastes.

My user name refers directly to Wacken Open Air. I was there in 2003/2004 and I saw many of these bands:

http://www.wacken.com/en/woa2013/main-history/history/woa-2004/bands/

Lots of memories. Like when we tried to see Subway to Sally at 2am or whatever it was and they couldn't start because Dee Schneider from Twisted Sister refused to get off the other stage. The marriage proposal during the Carpathian Forest set. We thought about getting a shirt signed by Amon Amarth in 2004, but the line was too long. They seemed nice though from what we watched at the table and we watched them perform later.

Being a grown up is overrated. Last concert we went to was to see Nile, Ex Deo, Psycroptic, Keep of Kalessin, Pathology in Louisville in Nov 2010. :crying:

Anyway, I'm a somewhat heavy listener to folk, black, and symphonic metal. But I also like synthpop, darkwave, traditional folk (from anywhere really).

I'm still pissed the petstore was closed at 745 with a big fat hours sign on their window that said open until 9pm.

I'm sorry, I thought this was f***ing Canada, I didn't realize that a little snow sent everyone home.

Not to mention, at 745, the snow had been over for a few hours, so they had to go home at LEAST at 5pm.

I'm debating writing a letter to corporate

I remember living in North Carolina as a young Marine...1 day a half of an inch of snow fell, everyone locked up and crawled into their caves, even the 7-11 lol

Hey may be if you complain enough, they'll give you a free pizza.

I'm working on the weekend yet again out of boredom.

I do NOT appreciate finding out my slave/assistant did not order carpet ALL WEEK

I have 4 overdue orders that now will cost my clients more money because she didn't do her job.

And she took friday off too.

UNACCEPTABLE.

If I were you, I would demote her from slave assistant to......um.......slave assistant apprentice.........

I'm about to have a very pissed off cat.

10 drops direct into the mouth

3 times daily

for 14 days straight.

I'm also trying to figure out if there are really 420 drops even IN this tiny little bottle

I don't think 14 days is gonna do it. I'm serious.

Anyway if that fails, try the egg and cookie remedy...

We are trying to decide whether to go to an Amon Amarth concert this summer. I don't know if tickets are still available, but I am thinking about it.

This talk of tapeworms is creeping me out. Are the ones in the cat transmittable to humans?

Yes it is possible especially to children.

Hehe, OK. I haven't listened to them before, so post a few songs from YT you like and I'll have a listen. :star:

I'd do it if you can. They are good in concert. The only reason we don't go to concerts that often is that after you figure in gas and babysitting it is  expensive. The last one we went to was around $160 when it was all said and done. Some people might think nothing of that, but um...not us.

----

I also did make that cake last night. Pro Tip: Do not eat it until next day. It tasted like rum flavored dirt last night. Today it tastes like coconut and chocolate cake. Not bad at all. Not sure what caused the change, but I am not complaining.
