Oh no! I love red wine and can tolerate only dry whites. I am.planning on making a white wine and mushroom cream sauce for my chicken tonight though. Nom noms.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Ew, red wine.

I'm such a wine failure. I'll only drink wine if it is white and very, very sweet. Otherwise I hate it and barely stand it even in cooking.

Usually the only thing my husband will drink is mead but my mother left champagne in our fridge.

i dont drink.

theres an almost full thing of sherry in my fridge from cooking like a year ago

should i throw it out?

I would as it is probably all vinegar by now. I keep the shelf stable wines for cooking in the cabinet. Risotto and apfelrotkohl are the only things I use them for.

I like mead, but I can't think of the last time I drank it. I was trying to find the reception picture of us with the bottle I brought at Trothmoot a year eariler, but I guess it was not one of the ones I scanned in and I'm too lazy right now to figure out where in the world the wedding album is.

i couldnt eat my steak tonight.

it was a horrible chewy cut despite my cooking it to perfection.

zo i ended up eating six sliced of potatoes....#######...

Some cuts of meat just make bad steaks. For beef steaks, I try to make sure I have marinated them for at least 6 hours, best 24. Sometimes I'll beat them a little for good measure.

At an old job of mine, we flew to Charlotte for some teambuilding nonsense. That evening, we all were served filet mignon for dinner. It was the saddest first world problem in the world. I was looking forward to it and it was super overcooked. How could someone ruin a nice cut of meat like that? :crying:

My husband busts through the door this evening yelling:

"OMG I LOST MY CELL PHONE."

He was running around like a chicken with his head cut off, couldn't find it, thought he lost it at work. "And I have these people coming over to buy the speakers and what if they need to call me...omgomgomg." I finish getting dinner ready and go over to the couch where he dropped his jacket when he got home. I picked it up and it seemed *heavy*. Oh boy oh boy, there it was. :bonk:

Don't drink? I feel like an alcoholic. I use it in my food, I self-medicate when I visit the USCIS site, and I drink when I watch The Bachelor. fml.

It's OK. Mr. W and I share a beer with every dinner. I don't like wine and am pretty apathetic about most liquors, but I love most beers and Costco sells Irish Cream that is heaven on ice. Despite that, I can't say I am anywhere near this yet:

I think I'm reading too much VJ way too late at night. Last night I had a dream in which a little animal that looked something like a groundhog was being chased by a lady from immigration. I told the critter to hide (apparently it could understand) but the lady still grabbed it. She said it needed to become a citizen. I grabbed the critter out of the cage and as I was running away with it I was wondering how the heck could it become a citizen it didn't even have a birth certificate.

I don't drink either, that one time I was really upset - had one glass of white wine and fell under table. Love to cook with it though there is this awesome recipe for chocolate, croissant, apricot jam, nut dessert with

uhm some sort of alcohol I cannot remember anymore but its good (and vanilla ice cream on top). If i could, I would totally invite you all to try it out.
