Perhaps try forcing him to eat with his hands through waterboarding? I saw a waterboarding thread here somewhere...

Or an Indian restaurant where utensils are not customary?

The funny thing was all the flack I got from my in-laws for the exact opposite thing. I didn't use my silverware *enough* and when I did, it most certainly wasn't efficiently. I've never seen anyone inhale food as fast as my FIL. He could eat a whole large dinner plate sized frozen pizza in less than three minutes. Then he would spend the rest of the meal making comments about how slow I was eating. It was painful for him to watch me eat steak. I am a hand switcher. He would always say "You know you could eat that a lot faster if you didn't switch hands all the time? Do all Americans do that?":wacko:

I started playing WOW a little after release, but stopped when I had my daughter and it was no longer fun.

 I've trained the Dane to eat tacos with his hands. His family hasn't gotten the memo yet.

There is a British-American restaurant in the city that has big signs up for the Danes that they are not allowed to eat pizza with a knife and fork and they will not be given utensils if they ask. Cracks me up every time.

Ironically, I recall going to The original Ray's Pizzeria (20 years ago) on The Ave of The Americas in Manhattan, and their pizza was so full of cheese and sauce that you have to eat it with a knife and fork. Otherwise you'd make a mess of yourself.

Ah that's right lol. The ole American "Hand-switcher"...tell your FIL that it is because we like to enjoy this very special dining time by slowing it down and having a wonderful chat...

Or tell him you're from Kentucky. And you eat with your hands if it's finger lickin good...

I was a hardcore raider in BC and WotLK and as I've stated before, I met my husband on WoW.

We played cataclysm for only a short time when we started up again shortly after its release.

No interest in Pandas.

When I raided, it was in the top guild on the server so it of course resulted in playing from 6pm-2am virtually every night.

I basically had (2) jobs. But that one didn't pay!

Embarrassing fact of the day - in Vanilla, I used to play almost every waking minute that I wasn't cleaning or cooking. Then, BC came out and I just hated the game all of a sudden - I mean I had been a fairly good player - I was the best priest in my guild and we were through Naxx, but I just couldn't stand raiding in BC. I played for a couple of months after WOTLK, Cata, and then Pandaria and I do like the changes they made in Pandaria, but I'm just not interested in raiding anymore and PVP bored me long ago after I used to do it all night to get a ranking.

Anyways, when you have kids you kind of need a game you can pause because even in the middle of the night you aren't safe from interruptions.

Well, I'm a Hoosier, so close enough, I suppose. If I need more street cred, my sister lives in Louisville and is married to a guy who's whole family is from Kentucky. His grandmother owns a 100 acre retired tobacco farm they use for shooting and everything. Sis and BIL got married in the old drying barn.

i never enjoyed pvp

my husband played vanilla

he was a healing paladin when i met him

he's abnormally amazing at the game

he plays programming everything to keys and the mouse and only had a raid grid on the screen

i was an embarrassment in comparison

husband just informed me that city scenes from the first silent hill were filmed in the town we live in

My ex-husband was a healing paladin too! :innocent:

Now, it has been 4,5 years that we've been divorced and he has gotten fat, started balding, grew out a nasty beard, only works 17 hours a week for his phd research, and sits around the rest of the time in his boxers STILL playing WOW.

LOL. I know that you shouldn't find glee at the misfortune of exes, but he is an asshat and probably hasn't gotten laid since we broke up.

Having a kid killed 90% of gaming for me. :crying:

Fun fact: When I was over a week overdue with our kid, my husband thought it would be a great idea to spend the entire night up playing Counterstrike. At 5am, he decided to go to bed. My uterus quickly shot that idea down.

i always find happiness in these things

bf one never got over me and got extra fat

bf three knocked some chick up and got married just because it happened

bf four is doing well but only because i forced him to grow up and he finally took life seriously when we broke up

They honestly tried to get PBR to sponsor their wedding as a joke. PBR declined but sent some other promotional material they used. They bought 60 cases of PBR and had them lined up against the barn wall. They had a 10 gun salute right after the pastor pronounced them man and wife. They then changed their clothes to go mudding after dinner. It was probably the most 'murican thing you could have imagined.

Actually as we speak, I'm making a real southern dinner for my wife and her sis. Meatloaf with dirty rice, collared greens and corn bread...all Internet recipes. I should really make fried chicken to make them use their hands to eat...

This is almost like...soul food?

Oh btw, PBR and San Miguel accompanied me throughout the world when I was a young marine...
