...tingles?

Like a tingling pain sensation.

Or maybe do a really good flossing?

Maybe you are getting paramolars. :hehe:

I failed out of Google University's School of Serious Dentistry though. I was only one point away from the cutoff, oh well.

Here is something that won't help, Caramel Cheetos.

You should try gargling with mouthwash? If it doesn't go away, you really have to floss :(

I just ate peanut noodles, aka westernized Pad thai. It was delicious...

Hope your oral issues get resolved, KdH

Well it's hard to floss an area that has only one tooth.

All I'm doing is rubbing a string along the back of my molar and slightly into the crevice of the skin coming apart.

Regardless, I went down there with floss last night and it was pointless.

Also, I'm an avid flosser.

Grrrrrrrr I'm so furious right now.

My tax refund is not enough to cover the remaining expenses for this process.

I was expecting 1000-1200.

This year? 700. My state refund? 13! #######!

I still can't file as I am missing two documents. Congress about gave me a heart attack over whether or not they were going to renew the Tuition and Fees deduction. They did after the last minute, but I was stressing there for awhile. The Lifetime Learning credit was worth a lot less to me than the T&F deduction.

Indiana gave me a nice parting gift last tax season as I had to waste time mailing them their precious $21. This is my first year of not having to file a state income tax, so at least I have got that.

Last year, I got a lot less than I expected, but 2011 was also our best year financially to look at the AGI. 2012 is probably slightly even better despite the 3 month layoff, so we'll see. I can't find a simple refund calculator that deals with two students in college at once, so who knows exactly what TT will spit out.

Immigration is an endless money drain. Case in point:

2003 (My 1st US passport, renewing husband's German passport)

2004 (Costs associated with German immigration)

2006 (Daughter's German and US passports)

2007 (Costs associated with US immigration)

2008 (Renewing husband's German passport)

2011 (Renewing daughter's US passport)

2013 (Renewing my US passport)

2016 (Renew daughter's German passport)

2017 (Renew green card, daughter's US passport)

2018 (Renew husband's German passport)

Zzzzzzz.

I have no idea how to file this year and I think I'm going to let my neighbor in America who is a CPA do it. I think she said she would do it for free, but with the foreign spouse and wanting to file jointly and the weird annuity payout I got this year, it isn't as simple as it would normally be.

Don't talk to me about passports. Ugggggh.

I renewed my US one in 2008, then the UK one in 2010, my daughter's in 2010, and now I have to have both my US and my UK one done again when we go back to America and I change my last name officially and my daughter's when we do the adoption.

Otherwise, my full name on my passport would be too long:

N****** ********* *********-***********

Everything about moving countries and immigration has been a total money sink though. We paid for the I-129F and cancelled it and I paid a deposit of about $1500 on her school here and $1200 for a month she didn't go to and about $2400 for the 3 weeks of school she actually went to. Talk about ouch! That and the carrying costs of keeping my car and my house in America and our apartment here. I could just faint.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

2012 I get 700?! WHY?!

What was great in my husband's case was he got caught in some weird point of German law where if you have gotten or renewed a passport between the ages of 18-24, it was only good for 5 years. Of course, he was 22 when he did it. So he had to drive up to Chicago from Indy in 2008 to have it renewed. We made a weekendish vacation out of it and spent some time on the Wisconsin coast, just in time for (Hurricane) Ike. I believe Seattle has a field office, so I don't think we will have to trek to San Francisco, which is where the next consulate is. Not sure I would be upset if we had to, beyond the cost of airfare. I have never been to SF.

It isn't cheap to marry foreigners. I sometimes am *jealous* of my brother. He is engaged to a naturalized US citizen from Laos. Laos does not allow dual citizenship, so she lost it upon naturalization. No more immigration nonsense period.

Making a little bit more money year to year can reduce your refunds quite a bit. Ask me how I know. :crying: Did you make more consecutive years?
