My keurig machine is on the fritz again. I had discovered.... quite by accident.... that the pump will work immediately after the machine is turned on if it's been off for a while. So after my coffee yesterday I turned it off. And then I turned it back on again this morning. But while it was heating up I decided to take the folded laundry upstairs and put it away. And then I decided to change the sheets on the bed so I took them off and brought them back downstairs. I guess that was too long a time because then I tried to brew my coffee and it took forever..... and then it turned off after only 1/3 of a cup. So then I had to reset it and press brew again. It was running really slowly..... trickling really.... that I had time to put the bed linens in the washing machine and turn that on. I decided to use the warm/cold setting. At first I had it on the hot/cold setting because it was white sheets, but then I remembered I also put the mattress protector in there, and you can't use hot water with that, so I reset it to warm/cold. Luckily, I hadn't turned it on yet so that was no problem. So then I went back to my coffee and it had stopped at 2/3 full! Whoa. That was too exciting. So then I had to reset it but I set it at 4 oz and then I had to watch it carefully.... just in case it started to work properly.... so it didn't overflow because I didn't want the full 4 oz. Once it got to the proper height on my cup I took another cup and quickly switched out so I wouldn't have watery or over-flowy coffee. That took forever and now I have no time left to look at VJ.

We have a keurig machine at work.

Those things go bad ALL of the time.

We've been through (3) of them in the past year and a half.

I suggest you try this-

http://www.keurig.com/customer-service/brewer-registration-and-support/~/media/FD69E91A51CA41BEBF4CCAA138325BBF.ashx

It's fixed a lot of our issues with the current machine.

Doesn't smell so hot, but it's like magic fix the machine solution.

Today I waited on the mailman. Currently I am sitting. :star: I also watched an episode of Alaska State Troopers and texted nonsense to my wife who is on the other side of the world sleeping.

Life is tough in the superstar business.

Lol I like Alaska State Troopers, but I think I've seen every episode

When I am home in the states, I often text my husband tons of random things in the morning when I'm off to work. He doesn't wake up until like 1 or 2pm so I highly doubt he even reads it all lol

In the office mail there was a whole bunch of envelopes. I asked my boss if I should open them for her and she said "oh no, don't bother!" I just got the whole stack of them on my desk and was asked to open them all. There was about 100.

My favorite episode is the one with the old drunk miner in his Silverado that hadn't been registered since '72. I felt bad when he got a DUI and his truck impounded.

Speaking of..

Something very superstary happened today :star: My wife got off her cellphone ticket, because the state of Hawaii believed the beautifully crafted letter of contest we sent them explaining the unfortunate circumstanced which lead to her being pulled over and cited. We explained that she had not been texting, but was in fact in the process of relocating her phone from the cup holder to the center console, at which point the police officer unfortunately happened to pass her by. $92 saved. Unfortunately, that doesn't bring back the Toyota she totaled last year when she was texting.

I'm guilty of occasionally texting while driving.

However, when you watch the tv shows where they show people how bad it is and make them go through obstacle courses... give me a break that is so unrealistic. I don't text while driving in a construction zone while going back and forth through cones in a blizzard with my eyes closed and one hand tied behind my back. Seriously. Anyone who does THAT kind of texting while driving SHOULD have a wake up call.

I text for about 6 hours straight of the 8 hour drive back and forth to canada. It's a 2 lane highway and pretty much a straight shot. I also stop texting when cars go past me. Mainly it's because I don't want them to see my texting and think badly of me... but I suppose that helps with the safety portion lol

My step father was given a ticket for texting while driving. His text: "lol".

On a slightly more boring note, I have cat fur all over my pants this morning.

I asked my co-worker to get me a coffee (small) with a lot of whole milk in it. He came back with a small amount of half-and half in it. It tastes okay, but not exactly what I wanted.

I just had to throw away a broken rubber band. Also, I am 6 points away at Ralphs from earning 10 cents off a gallon at Shell. I have to buy $6 worth of stuff at Ralphs before the end of the month to earn the reward. I will probably buy cat treats or a bottle of wine. You can get some good wine deals at Ralphs. Ralphs is better than Vons for some things moneywise (cat treats) and not for others (Vons is cheaper for cat food as opposed to cat treats). Albertsons is expensive compared to both. However, Pavilions, which is the fancy Vons subsidiary, has the nicest selection of cheeses of all the mainstream supermarkets.

The office manager gave me a tub of really, really big bulldog clips today. I can clip over 150 pages together now.
