My interview with my wife is wed, but I dont have access to my birth. Its in a box in a bank. My mother has the key and she is away. Can I send it after the interview? What happens now

Vanessa gave you the correct answer. Use your passport to prove citizenship. There's no need to take your SS card, at all.

Looks like you got the answer you need for proving citizenship, but to address birth certificate concerns, you can usually obtain a certified copy from your state health department. I've never had my original on hand when it was needed.

The interview letter specifically asks for the BC of the petitioner, but they probably won't ask to see it. If they do want to see it, then you'll get an RFE at the interview, to come back and show the BC.

Honestly you're not the only USC to ask this and they've all (that have reported) been fine with their passport. It's just to prove USC.
