I was married at age 17. Married in June 1996 (i don't remember the day) , had my son in March 1999, and divorced in either December of 2000 or January of 2001 (I don't remember that either)

I just remember that I can't listen to the 12 days of Christmas coz he left 12 days before Christmas and it just makes me really mad...

17 and the only reasons I donnot say I regretted it cos:

1, I had my daughter from the marriage elhamdullah

2, It was over very quickly elhamdullah

3, I learned alot of life lessons from it

I seriously doubt I would approve if any of children wanted to marry so young. But I can say all the experience I think I have become a stronger better person and had to push myself to where I am now cos of it. I feel proud of myself for overcoming it and achieving all I have achieved since then.

Just got married for the first time in June and I was 21 and he was 24.

We young people don't say anyone is too old to get married so please don't come on here and say "I got married when I was 21 and I was way too young". I won't attack you and don't attack me.

Ok, so I'm blonde, it took me a while to figure out how to get it right!

First: lasted 9 1/2 years, had 2 kids. He was my best friend and I shouldn't have married him because I didn't love him like that, but I didn't want to lose my best friend.

Second: I was living with my mom and sister and married the guy my sister picked out for me at church - "he has a good job, a house and 3 cars, he can support you and your kids so you should marry him". That was 2 1/2 years of pure hell - for both of us and all 5 of our kids that we brought into the marriage.

Third: Went into it thinking "he's young and hot and wants to marry me, what do I have to lose?" 1 1/2 years of feeling like I adopted another kid (he was 10 years younger).

This time: Been married almost a year now and it still feels like heaven every day. I finally found the man of my dreams.

My dad was right, I should have waited until I was 44 like my aunt to get married the first time. Of course, when I told my 71 year old Aunt what her brother told me she said that was just stupid. Maybe not though, she's still married to her first husband and still goes riding on his Harley with him.
