Got a REF in June and still waiting for interview

Hi,

We got 2 REFs June 23, one for each of my wifes daughters seeking my tax information. I quickly gathered the information and set it back to the USCIS. A week or so later we got two letters stating that files had been transferred to California for processing. That was in early July. We have completed the Biometrics, but since then, we have heard nothing from the USCIS.

When I call and enter the receipt number it says that the case is in standard review and that no additional information is available and that I should wait until 180 days after the date of the transfer.

Is there anyway to assertain the true status of our AOS. In our case it may be a bit more complicated since I am applying for my wife and her two daughters, but it should not take this long.

Any idea's or advice?

Not really. From what you have said in your post you have provided evidence that should satisfy the RFE(s)... Now comes the waiting period that most of us are in... Patience is not a virtue, it is learned... Just my educated opinion!

If your case got transferred to CSC, don't expect an interview, but a straight approval update (it still may happen that CSC transfer your case to your local USCIS office for an interview, but it's rare). On the other hand, CSC is very busy and behind, so the wait is not done and is long. Better not expect any news for 2012... if there are, it will be bonus!

They won't usually put in a service request until 180 days after your case was transfered. Now it is just a waiting game. Wishing you swift adjudication.
