Do most people go for the medical and interview same time??? My gf wants to fly to manila for medical then fly back

then a week later fly again there to go for interview. Is this rational? I think it a waste of money and time.

I have a friend here on VJ, that had her medical, CFO seminar and interview for the whole week. She had medical for 2 days Mon-Tues, Wed CFO seminar, Thurs. whole day rest and Friday interview. Well, she got approved!! I believe there is no problem to have the medical the same week as her interview as long as she feels confident that she doesn't have any health problems. I will actually do the same thing as what my friend did last week in order to save time and money.especially that Manila is quite far from where I live. It's too expensive to go there twice. hehehe. Well, everything is in God's hands. As long as we have faith in God then everything will be possible in Him.

Usually you do the the medicals first so that the embassy has the result of it in time for the interview. If you were to do it at the same day the blood works result wouldn't be ready.

Medical and interview can't be done at the same time. The embassy needs the result of her medical during her interview. But she can have medical few days before the interview. Read my post below. thanks

I know that it can't be done in same day. I meant to make one trip and get the medical a few days before the interview.

For example interview is on the 25th leave to manila on the 23 or so and get it all done instead of making 2 flights.

Do most people make 2 flights or get it all done on one trip??

Sweetie's input is absolutely right since your fiance is far from manila...as long as your fiance is confident enough that she won't have health problem. Pray for the best..I had my medical 5 & 6 of nov. nd my interview will be on the 23rd. and have my CFO seminar ( mandatory for foreign partners leaving the philippines ) on the 22nd prior to my interview so that i can just have my sticker done after the visa is at hand..this way could save time and money.

IMO, do the medical at least 2 weeks ahead of the interview.

After she receives her passport with visa she can do the PDOS.

if she can manage here time wisely why not do it on the whole week.. that is if she dont have any problems in her medical but its better to give an allowance like a week before her medical so that she can prepare her interview day well ;) goodluck

Have her do her Medical on a Monday and Tuesday, and tell St. Lukes that her interview is on Friday. They will expedite her results to the Embassy. There is no reason why this cannot be done at the same time. The CFO seminar can be done after she gets her Visa, otherwise she'll have to go back. You need your passport, to get the CFO stamp/paperwork put in your passport before she departs the Philippines. Let us know if you need anything else.

God Bless.

I also live far from Manila, so yes, I think it would be impractical to go back and forth for the medical and interview. You can do it all together in one trip. We all know this entire journey costs a lot already, so maybe you could talk to your fiancee on managing financial matters as well. Good luck and God bless to you both!
