How do you get an Italian passport?

My Fiancee is totally lost and does not know where to start to get her passport to come visit me. Where does she go to file papers to get a passport and what are the procedures? please answer if you have experience, Thanks!

It's very very very easy! Just go to the police station and they'll give you a form to put all your info in. She doesn't need to anything special just write down infos on a form, pay some stuff at the post office or bank (is about 80 euros total) and take some pics with a white background, they'll take her fingerprints and she'll have to wait a little bit (I waited 21 days). Just tell your fiance to go the police station closer to where she lives iif there's any she can ask to carabinieri. It's easy tell her to not worry!
