Medical Exam required for 1-485??? anyone know?

Hello,

My husband is now here!!! Yeah, but it begins again with the waiting and filing but I am not complaining (ha!)

So my question is :

The 1-485 says it requires a "medical examination report on the form you have obtained from USCIS"

We did the exam in South Africa obviously for the K-3 Visa but wew were never given copies as the envelope was sealed fro the immigration officer upon arrival into JFk and they never gave it back.. So what do we do? How do we obtain this or is there a different solution.

we do have the handwritten vaccination card though.

You will not require another medical exam as long as the K-3 medical in South Africa was less than one year ago. The only thing that you will require is the Vaccination Supplement. This can be done by a Civil Surgeon, who will copy the information from your vaccination card onto the Supplement. We were charged $35.00 for this service. Call around to Civil Surgeons in your area to get the best price because they vary a lot. Some will insist that you have to get the medical done as well as the Supplement.... just keep calling until you find one that will just do the Supplement for you.
