AOS AND IV VISA FEE PAID/CASE COMPLETED-DOES IT MEAN VISA *NUMBER* IS AVAILABLE?

my case is nvc completed but i am a bit confused though, i paid aos and IV visa fee two months ago, my question is - does it mean that my *visa number* is available and priority date is current? (f2a petition here) i don't know when my priority date is i lost the doc :wacko: please advise...also, am i close to receiving an interview letter...i sure hope so!!!! lol tia! :blink: :blink: :help: :help:

No.

You have to wait for your priority date to become current in order to receive an Embassy interview schedule from NVC.

Thanks for the info! i think my priority date us march 2010 and the visa board says that they are processing f2a petition in 2010, so maybe its gonna be okat, btw how would you know when is the priority date? do i need to call nvc again? thanks!

If your PD is MARCH 2010, you should have been interviewed already because the current F2A PD being processed for DEC 2012 VB is AUGUST 22, 2010.

Call NVC and ask if they still have your Priority Date in their database. If they don't have it, call USCIS.

I found my priority date!!! its march 29 2010

Contact NVC, your PD is already current/overdue.

I will call asap!! i called them a week ago but never mentioned about it being overdue! they just said that the visa number is available and my case is completed and they will forward it to manila embassy. I just received an email from them last week and priority date remain the same march 29 2010 hopefully, they will expedite it!!

Thanks apple21! I don't know what's going on. I called NVC every week to check the status of my petition until its completed! lol and now my PD is overdue. They kept saying wait for an email in regards to the next step which is the interview...ugh Thanks again!!
