Form I-751 Remove Conditions of Residence

Hello VJers,

After a long hiatus from USCIS and Visa Journey, we are now preparing our paperwork for the I-751. I am seeking general advice from any of you who are currently working on the I-751 or those of you who have recently completed this process. I have already read through the guide on VJ, but would like more personal input from the nice folks at Visa Journey.

Here's the basic info on our situation: the 2-year green card expires on March 17th, 2013. We plan to submit the paperwork after December 17th, 2012 to the California Service Center.

I would greatly appreciate any advice regarding:

1.) What are the processing times for Form I-751 looking like at the California Service Center?

2.) What paperwork did you all submit with your applications? We already have several utility bills in both names, notarized affidavits from friends and family, tax info, insurance documents in both names, house lease in both names, pictures, airline tickets from trips taken together, etc. We have no children.

3.) If we submit the Form I-751 this December 2012, is it likely that we will be able to travel back to Ireland this summer 2013?

I'd love to hear about any of your experiences with this process, and many thanks for your advice!

try to get three years tax transcripts from the IRS and that you filed jointly,banking statements jointly ,joint credit cards, a copy of your permanent resident front and back, if you both have drivers license to show the same address,some mail addressed to both of you to show the same address. holiday cards,birthdays, wedding invation cards,anniversary, .cell phone family plan togather,thay want to see if your marriage is real and if your living togather as married couple, your file looks good.

1. I was just approved after 7 months. It's about 6-7 months at the moment

2. There's an ROC thread in my signature that has mine (and others) lists

3. You are able to travel whenever you want. The NOA1 (receipt) letter is your one year extension. You can travel and work with that.

Yep, you can travel with the NOA. We sent our application this month and included:

- tax returns from 2010 and 2011

- the birth certificates from both of our kids

- cell phone contract showing our family plan

- car insurance showing both of us

- our health insurance from my job showing all of us listed (and copies of the cards/termination papers from our previous health insurance from his job)

- a copy of our lease

- copies of about six bank statements spanning from when he got his GC to now

- copies of our licenses showing the same address

- copies of itinerary and boarding passes from when we, our daughter, and my sister visited his family in Bolivia

- about 25 pictures from the past several years including our trip to visit his family in Bolivia, a trip we took to visit my grandparents in New England, birthdays, Christmas, when our son was born, and random in-betweens (including many w/ my family because they are local)

There may have been more, I don't have the paperwork with me. We did not include much from prior to him receiving his GC because we had an interview for that and presented evidence then. And we did not include utility bills because they're all in my name (because they required a deposit to put them in his name since his credit was not long-standing enough).
