Yes I do and it is a small fraction of the cost of health care. My GP. Makes about 140k on a good year. He has abot 10 years of training. He should make more . Way to many people working in the health field who no provide medical care. I bet more time is spent on the admin side of a three day hospital stay than on providing direct medical care.

GPs and pediatricians sort of get the short end of the stick. The radiologists at my mothers work make about $350,000. That is quite a lot.

So you really think that anybody that decides to live here can just come across the border, no check no nothing and set up shop. Surely there can not be two of you here that think that. The U.S. would be a third world country in 3 years if that happened. as our population would explode and we could not feed or have jobs for everyone and it would collapse.

Just curious about something. One thing I do agree with the Obama voters on, is that the Repub party is a dinosaur. I made no secret of the fact that I supported Romney, but the main reason I did was I felt he would lead us to fiscal demise slower than Obama and because I thought he would not ok illegal immigration. (Not sure about the later). I voted for Romney but will never vote for the lesser of two evils again.

I am not a repub. Here are my issues . Do I have a party. Could we unite as Americans behind this kind of platform ?

I am pro-Choice

I am Pro Gay Unions

I am for reducing entitlements drastically ( Welfare etc should be a means to an end, and you show responsible behavior and progress)(This includes all entitlements to farmers, Fema Flood etc)

I am for if you have a child and you are on public assistance you are on Birth Control until you are self sufficient.

I am for bringing all out troops home and cutting the Military slowly to a National Defense role

I am for A Terrorism Policy that says "we stay out of your affairs but if you attack us it the reaction will be violent swift and deadly in proportion to the act you committed

I am for ending all Racial preferences of any kind and having a color blind society, with stiff penalties if real discrimination can be proven

I am for stopping all Illegal Immigration thru enforcement against Employers with stiff Fines for those that violate the policy.

I am for abolishing Tax Free status for all Churches. No more preferential treatment for anyone

I am for a flat tax with no loopholes that kicks in above the poverty level.No Refunds just send in your % that's it.

I am for abolishing the IRS as we know it

Lastley I am not sure what to do about Health Care it's fed up. Obama care is not going to drive down cost, it is just going to subsidize cost to others. I do know what we do know is not working but we can come up with something

I am surprised how much of this we see eye to eye on. The healthcare issue is a definite mess. I am a nurse and I work in insurance now. I think the majority of people would be surprised by what is going on in healthcare in this country. Providers (hospitals, pharmacies,dialysis centers, physicians and specialists) are cost shifting by grossly inflating charges for insured patient's to make up for losses due to uninsured,Medicaid and Medicare patients. The top Dialysis centers are owned by German corporation that has actively been lobbying reps in Washington in an effort to extend the coordination period before Medicare covers it. This would allow them to charge more to insured patients since Medicare caps the allowable for that procedure but insurers for the most part cannot. The drug companies are fast tracking drugs through the FDA to market quicker than ever. A lot of these are targeted therapies and cost thousands per dose for insured patients. Pharmacies often charge 600-1500% above wholesale cost for drugs and supplies. They should be able to make a profit without taking advantage. Some plans only cover 80% so out of pocket costs to a patient can be thousands of dollars. None of these issues are addressed in the current legislation. My husband had NHS which is "free care" in UK. what people fail to recognize is they are taxed for that "free care" so it isnt really free. They are also limited in ways we are not. They are assigned a GP doctor. We can be selective and choose the best doctor for us. We can get a second opinion, try another hospital, schedule a procedure and our doctor can order medications he feels are best. The NHS has a panel to review high cost drugs and procedures to determine if the quality of life is worth the cost. For example some of the newer prostate cancer drugs average 125k but provide approximately 3 months more of life, often at poor quality so the NHS can decide not to allow. They can also make a patient wait for heart surgery, joint replacement and can decide a patient is too old for transplant or dialysis. On the plus side they get free medications, free office visits, tests, ER admits and surgery costs paid but they may wait longer to be treated. Both systems are flawed but the way the US system is right now it needs a complete overhaul. Even if Obamacare is not the answer the current health system is in need of a complete overhaul.

I also agree the IRS also needs to be overhauiled. I would agree with a flat tax. That way no matter what you earn you still pay your fair share.

In addition I would like to see all of the money previous administrations borrowed for Social Security put back into the fund. It pisses me off that I've paid into the program for about 35 years and now they say it will run out. I dont have a nest egg because I paid for myself and my kids to go to college. Social security is my retirement plan so I really hope they fix it so we dont have to work until we die.

I also believe we are being overtaxed, schools suck not because they don't have enough money, or classes are too big, but because the hippies have ruined the curriculum, and politics over competence determines who are teaching our kids. I object to all these hippie solutions to perceived problems that just end up becoming slush funds for further politicking around underutilized and overpriced projects. I also believe hippies are basically lazy, like spending other peoples' money, and have suffered brain damage from abusing drugs.

I'm a democrat who very strongly believe in the "right to bear arms", immigration reform (including swift deportation of anyone who came into the US as an adult illegaly and/or overstayed), and against legalizing marijuana. If the Republican party didn't take such (what I view as) extreme social points of view, I would probably vote for them in the future. As long as they keep being anti-choice, anti-Hispanic, anti-gays, pro-church, I can't.

Should Goodwill, the Salvation Army and the Red Cross be taxed as well? Just curious. If an organization is supported wholly through donations, I have no problem with its tax exempt status. They still incur other costs, like mortgages, insurance, and utility bills.

on visa journey, any given day, you will see status updates of people 'claiming' what they want for the 'lord'. this isn't a new concept so much as it's recently gained popularity. people like creflo dollar and kenneth copeland..perpetuate this 'word faith' as they call it.

if your business is a true charity - then their will be ample evidence to prove they deserve tax exempt status.

true charity requires help given blindly - not just to folk who are of the same religion, pro-life, etc.

the majority of churches in this country do very, very little in the business of charity and way to much in social events and church beautification..
