Anybody have the same experience?

and is there anyway my husband can open a bank account in US while living abroad? How we can register our children in US schools? we want to establish his domicile in US.

Hope to hear any reply thanx!

Hello, to answer your question, no you cannot use SSD or SSI income for the affidavit of support. My husband and I tried using my Uncle as our co sponsor back in July 2011 and at our interview we were told a person on Social Security benefits cannot use their income to meet the financial aspect for sponsorship. A person on SSI/D doesn't pay taxes on that income, therefore it isn't eligible. Hope this answers your question.

I would get a second opinion on that. I read a few different answers on this one. I read where it was ok if the petitioner was on SSD, but like I said, I am not an expert. Good Luck & Best Wishes

I Looooooove my baby Lyn.
